Piratecrfat Museum Nearly Ready

The Piratecraft museum of art, warfare, and history is nearly complete, all that is needed is for 1.10 to be enabled so the sea skelleton shown in the pictures wont wierd out the server, also that whole thing about me not knowing how schematics works.

With this though a few things need to be explained.

Firstly, to the right side of the museum is the crew showcase, showing important objects from every major crew, in order to be considered a major crew you must have ~~30 (thirty)+ members, and~~ a banner design. Major crews will be granted:

-1 (one) spot in the showcase for a banner

-1 (one) spot for an important object associated with their crew

(Is AT THE DISCRESSION OF HEAD HISTORIAN [Chasedillon123] AND OTHER CREWS)

Objects should be named for spots in the crew showcase, and if an item is questionable (ie I am given a dirt block named [.]) then 1 (one) person that is not in your crew will have to come to testify that the object has some signifigance to the crew, this signifigance must be explained.

Second, to the left are showcases with 5 themes:

-General (art, mostly, doesnt fit with other categories)

-Warfare

-Religion (server based only)

-Literature and Government

-History

If you have an artifact that would fit one of these categories, please /mail Chasedillon123 through the server, the museum will be under server protection at all times to ensure the artifact(s) safety

Great build and concept Chase!!! The only thing I see that could use some adjustment is the crew member requirement. The argument can be made that crews with less than thirty members can be just as significant to PirateCraft’s past as those with the cap. Using CoV as an example, I don’t believe they ever had thirty members, but certainly left their impact on the server and its history. I understand this measure is intended to keep away overcrowding of the museum with displays from small/inactive/new crews, but doesn’t account for the smaller, older crews that have a rightful place in the museum’s collection. Anyone can invite 25 more inactive noobs that never play again just to meet requirments. I believe as curator, you are wise enough to determine if a crew is museum worthy based on your personal experiences on the server as well as the input of other notable members. Play the historian! Ask around, research, and based on wikis, primary sources etc. you can make an opinion on whether or not the crew has contributed to or has been apart of PirateCraft’s unique history ;D

@NickyB_123 I am honored you think I am wise, but I wanted to have some sort of limiting factor on crews entering, of course there will be acceptions, but yes overall I guess it will come down to if I or others have heard of their accomplishments.

@allidoisdig1234 EE and BE literally have the largest crew count on the server… 3 of those guys i havent heard anything about, they’ll have to let me know what they have done

@Chasedillon123 This is brilliant, I have moved this to the media forum, as I don’t have a builders forum and it makes more seance that competitions!

I can help you out when 1.10 drops to make a schematic, I will PM you my email for better communication. Did you find a spot for this at the cove? was that the intention so we could start putting books there too?

I was saying that we wanted a library at the cove for books 🙂

@GodsDead there will be a library section, this is just the top most layer, and I put it in Competitions because it said one of the discussion themes was “events” But all other levels of the museum will be done by hand since i am playing in a superflat world, and cant build 80 blocks down, I will be building downward, because I made the roofs on this build a bit, uh, intriquete, and it will help conserve space.
