/back is to be used after falling from a tree, or a cliff. That’s known as PVE, or Person Vs Environment. Using /back to retrieve your stuff after a death in the wilderness is the reason /back is given to donators.
Using /back after dying as a result of PVP, to retrieve your items or to further attack that person, is NOT allowed. Using it is wrong, as it gives donators an insane advantage, and completely ruins the idea that once you have killed a person, that fight is over for them, finished. As it is, you kill a person, and they either tp back instantly, or wait a few hours until you’re busy, and strike again.
My two pet hates on this server, and I say this as someone who has had BOTY rank and Captain, is that /back and /near are far to OP, and defeat the object of a balanced and strategic fight. /near renders many effective traps and maneuverers obsolete, and with our new invisibility mechanics on Piratecraft, I believe it should be up for urgent review.
/back dismisses the idea that when you die, you lose your stuff. That’s an inherent part of minecraft, that death leads to you losing what you had on you at the time (generally speaking) and so you need to work again to get that stuff again. /back ruins this, and means that donators can die on the offensive, and then a number of seconds, minutes, or even hours later, begin the offensive again when you are unawares. Again, it is far to OP, and we need to consider removing it.
