    Maintenance report 8/6/2014

    Change-log:

    • Updated Spigot to latest Dev Build (Change-Log for those interested)
    • Fixed playtime in /stats & fixed the web frontend for stats to display the correct data. The stats plugin has an issue with multiple worlds, Im working with the developer for a fix before we can start work on our new world projects. No data was lost, All your playtime was tracked 🙂
    • Updated Movecraft to the latest development build and its got some sick new features.

    Movecraft change-log

    1. – Turrets! you can now have a “subcraft” which is part of a larger craft and moves with it, but can rotate independently, So rotating cannons.
    2. – Subcraft Rotate signs. To rotate a turret, place this sign somewhere adjacent to it (or inside it). First line should read “Subcraft Rotate” and the next line should read the .craft type name. I’ll make a video showing how to do this soon (probably in a week). If the next 2 lines are empty, it will put in a pretty little wheel icon. If they aren’t empty it leaves them alone.
    3. It now informs you which block is causing an obstruction. No more hunting down that one block in your ship that screws everything up
    4. – Fixed the bug where redstone would drop off of dispensers. This time for realz, …maybe
    5. – ported some of the optimizations in the main core updater into the compatibility mode one
    6. – fixed several bugs where the NULL player (used for torpedoes and turrets) would throw errors when they collide or can’t do things

      This is in addition to all the previous enhancements. Here are the highlights:

    • Better customizable sinking/crashing crafts (exploding when they hit, continuing to move, crashing at different speeds)
    • Massive speed improvements
    • Much less redstone activation while moving (although repeaters are still a problem)
    • Meta data / damage value tags supported in .craft files. Put them in quotes, ie: “5:3”
    • Multiple Flyblock entries, also supporting above meta data tags. Put them in brackets, ie:

    I asked for Multiple Flyblock entries to be added, and would like to thank Loraxe42 for adding them, This means I can finally have ALL woods classed as wood for ships, so we can finally use the new woods on ships. or the old woods. 🙂

    Since there are some big new changes, I need ideas for craft files to create for everyone 🙂

    Looking forward to trying those ‘turrets’ out, it sounds interesting!

    Yeah same, Im not sure how to set them up, I presume they are just craft files. Ship within a ship, Restricting movement to only rotate.. In essence a lazy susan.

    Keeping an eye on stats, this problem seems to persist, I know what the problem is and its entirely on the developer to fix, Been holding off a stats upgrade for ages as it kicks out autoranking and breaks the web UI too.
