In survival you are only allowed to create banners with a limit of 6 layers on them and the only way around this is to use commands. I think that there should be an option to donate for a banner that would be only available through commands. I have no experience with buy-craft and I don’t even know if this is possible but maybe when you buy the banner you would provide a link to the banned such as a needcoolshoes link or the ./give command it provides when you make a banner on there.

I don’t think there would be a way to implement this without an admin having to manually give you the banner…

Whenever a buycraft transaction is made it sends a command to be ran on the server so I guess that command could be the /give <name> <banner stuff>. In buycraft you can set variables for a purchase and one of them could be the ./give command input. There obviously there would have to be a way to prevent people from putting in commands to give them items other than banners so like a player puts in the whole command but it cuts it to the part after minecraft:banner.

(The reason why people would input the whole command instead of the bit after minecraft:banner would be because they may mess up or something trying to cut it and it would be too much of a hassle for younger/inexperienced players to have to cut the command)

Say I wanted to buy this banner:

    1. Input ./give command (assuming done as a buycraft variable)

2.The command is cut to the portion after minecraft:banner (prevent spawning in other items)

3.When the item is bought a command would be ran

    /give <variable used for username> <variable used for command>

I guess it depends on how flexible buycraft is and if it has the functionality to let people input sections of commands? But what you propose sounds good. I have also wanted to create more complex banner designs in the past so I expect a lot of players would appreciate this option.

But it has to be automated, so how does will it know what banner to send? You cant just give it a URL, you would need to allow the user to input their banner code, which then opens up the entire server being vulnerable to attacks, running a users code they have entered? yeah right. even if it was via a third party website, you then have to trust nothing goes wrong their end before we run the command, it could have any malicious data added, especially since they can be user created.

Maybe theres a plugin to allow more to be made in-game? this would be a much, much better option.

or to have a shop at the cove pre-made banners that are infinite that can only be bought with a coin? Again this would take a lot of effort for staff to setup, like a lot of effort to add even 20 designs.

There are plugins that have full gallerys of banners pre-made in-game, you just click the one you want…?

Maybe make is so that people choose what layers they want as they are purchasing it and make is so that each layer increases the cost. So like if I were to buy a banner I would have to choose the design/color for layer 1, same thing for #2 and so on.

The only way that I can think of which buycraft may work with is the option to choose a preselected banner on the store page. The major downside to this is that this page would either be just full of banners or have a selected few amount of banners. There is always the option to add banners onto a ranked command.
