Overview:
Today the server crashed due to [No space left on device] This is a problem with our hosting provider not managing their shared servers professionally, what this does is wipe any data that is currently held in memory, which includes:
Ranks, Sometimes Autorank player data, Essentials playerdata (Includes eco balance).
Detail:
This is the fifth time this has happened, its been reported 5 times to the hosting provider, its getting very weary.
These are not things we should have to worry about.
Any options I suggest to the host I get a rude childish responce, So I have no ETA on a fix (sorry).
This will no longer effect claims as they are stored on a seperate server on a different storage system, me and reaper learnt this the hard way the first time this crash happend!
How I Fix this each time
I have to check files manaully, see what is broken, then upload copies of data from a most recent backup (Essentials has 1,438 user files at present)
How to make this worse:
Spamming chat with
“godsdead”
“my”
“rank”
“IS GONE! I CANT SSAAILL B0ATZ NOW! HERP A DERP”
Will drive me insane in the membrane, I will have to start setting people on fire.
Why am I telling you this?
I like to be completly open with the amazing piratecraft community, I also created this Support Tickets forum and this is a demonstration of a ticket and mostly because im not getting an answer or a fix from the host and need to vent.
