Currently there is only one type of ship that everybody can build, the ships plugin is under heavy testing and the plugin is in alpha at present so there will be bugs, I will move this guide to the information page once we have tested it some more and developed some in depth notes for building ships.

How to Build and use a Ship
Build a wooden ship and put a sign on it with ship as the first line, Create a second sign with [helm] for turning the ship. You will need a golden hoe. Right click the ship sign to pilot the ship, to move right click in the direction you want to go with the golden hoe. To release control of the ship, abandon it for 15 seconds, or right click the ship sign (Currently broken) or type /release

Important Notes on ships.

• DO NOT use any other signs on boats apart from ship and [helm]
• Chests will not work, you will need to create a “storage crate” by crafting a chest surrounded by wood, this will spawn a new item, anybody with Dokucraft will get a beautiful skinned Storage Crate that works on boats.
• Do not add blocks to your ship once piloted, they will get left behind or block your path
• Ships have to be made from at least 30% wood (Logs don’t count)
• A Maximum of 10% of the ship can be obsidian
• A MAximum of 10% of the ship can be storage crates
• If the craft drops below 80% of the required block (wood) then it will begin to sink to the ocean floor.
• Anybody can steal a ship with a ship sign, even in a protected claim
• The minimum block size of a ship is 30 blocks, the Maximum size is 500
• You can build cannons and fire them form a ship
