Arena Building competition!

Theres also an option to challange people to duels! But Im not sure how that would work, I think its a duel in an arena arena, not a ffa. so It would be cool to get /duel working.
Yeah you can do that, with FFA I spawn that splash potion every 60 seconds or something, you can tell it to spawn whatever entity you want, in a specific place etc, not sure how it works with chests I havent played around with it that much, once we have a decent arena we could test it out for a team based arena.
I think I might try to make a skirmish arena but it would help if someone good at building helped me 😉 wink wink
so by any chance could you spawn other item other then just the poison potion, the idea could still work with item just being on the ground.
diamond sword on an island surrounded by lava, some one runs across a soul sand bridge to get it, then player 2 stands on the pressure that lowers the soul sand below the lava. lol.
Yeah crazy I need to change your arena back to being Spleef, Ive been away for the last few days and haven’t been able to get on.
When I get a chance im going to start on an ship themed arena where you battle it out with cannons, Teambased and kills wins, we could also change it to capture the flag if we wanted, or capture the booty!
well im going to start building a team death match arena, got a few ideas
- having a diamond sword regen in the middle of a lava lake and a pressure plate that removes the bridges to it when pressed.
- multiple floors.
- both close quarters mazes and open fields.
- a couple of creative traps.
- some leap pads that lead to an item, but are easy to be shot off, or even miss the next jump.
- 2 forts with 4 entrances 2 of which can only be opened and closed from the inside.
if any ones got any suggestion let us know. i still got some rather big holes to fill in my blue prints.
@ravenfalls that sounds amazing. If its based on lava, maybe build it in the nether to start with? Already Lava lakes for you!
was actually thinking about building it in the end. off that small rock that i claimed. 😀
I Have Built a boat joust! simply put in coal, toggle cruise mode, then quickly look to the side and click!
just wanted to know, if the ffa will ever return.
im already part way through the build, got a lava lake, and an area where the doors keep switching around based on a time.
also wanted to know what you think about an area that has say 4 doors, and every 30 seconds one of them randomly opens and the others stay closed. its a rather complicated redstone system that uses the random drop of a droper and a sorting system but i thought it would add something interesting.
Yea it will return, I disabled it to lighten the load on the server while the auto restart wasnt working, its back up now so I will have to enable it again, I will do it when I so some maintenance tasks I have planned.
