    A cooperative relationship on this server is @JUSA kills you when you have a lot of loot and takes it, and does not kill you again and until you have all your loot back.

    -A better relationship would be that the PVPpers stop telling people to go ‘train on other servers’, and rather instead help people to get better. I for one wouldn’t care if it was a no strings attached or promises approach, and that just due to training, would not mean they could not raid me anymore, all it would do is make me more confident in my skills and perhaps stick about, take part in raids or even give a couple of kicks before I click the respawn button again.

    This is just going to be my last response. Setting up a ‘server wide war’ is useless unless that war can be set up by a group of influential people to target a valid group (of which I provide none as I enjoy being on practically everyone’s good side). I can give you examples again and again of why people do not pvp, instead of setting up ‘pvp’ events, which no one often attends like the seasonal ones e.g. Halloween and Christmas when PVP is turned on, fails because people do not want to lose their gear, its a guaranteed fact. The only way you can fix this, is by fixing people’s confidence in their own abilities and for them not to feel their loss is permanent (which it is not) and for it to no longer be fun and to turn into a drag.

    Luckily for now, there is a lot less butthurt, salty, toxic players being reported (from what I can see) so this must be improving, though those who are not that, are going underground for the subterranean life, of no sunlight, breeze or rain. Ta la.

    2. That’s a terrible idea… This is taking a pearl cool down to a extreme hurting people for being in their claims and having it so you can’t pearl outside your base without opening a door will lead to even less pvp.

    3. Idek if that’s possible since claims, detecting who is in it and stopping pearls when others are in the claim are diffrent plugins and would be hard to make them all combine.

    Silverstone47, you can use my base. It is near spawn, I’m moving out of it, and it is pretty defensible if I know if someone is coming. It also has cannons on the top. If you want to borrow it, you are welcome to use it. If you need anything else, just ask.

    Try to avoid suggesting the same thing someone else has already suggested in another thread. We have talked about this exact thing already. Fire-spread is already off for example. The removal of tp’s in the regular world would not encourage ship use like you think, it’d just annoy many people in the current world. The purpose of ships isn’t to force them upon people to transport themselves. It is to have a fun thing they can build and fight in battles if they wish. They can even use them to build bridges and think of new creative ways to raid. You say there is a huge lack of ships, yet most deckhands I see that come on end up building a ship in their first day of playing right outside their newly made base. It’s almost always the second thing they’re excited to try out. For now just understand the system works as is, and there will be something new eventually for those looking to change things up.     /crew list is the overall crew database. These stats are based as a total crew kill death ratio from all the members. To reset this statistic you’d have to reset player kills and player kill/death ratio. I’m currently #1 on /crew leaderboard which shows the top player kill/death ratios. If you can find a way to reset crew KDR without resetting player’s KDR then yeah I’d probably go for that but I’d prefer to not have my year and a half with only 15 deaths reset.

     

    As quickly as they can throw them to get away, you can throw them to follow. It’s really not hard. I don’t see a reason for a pearl cool down since you can throw them just as fast as they can to follow.

    Um..I really don’t see a need for this as if this was implemented all history of pvp prior to a month would be lost..if you want to be top on /crew list or /crew leaderboards, hunt more and stop dying. It’s not really that hard.

    As to the pearl cool down..it’s never been that high. 20-30 seconds is ridiculously long and would defeat the purpose of ender pearls in combat in general.

    I got torn to shreds last time I made a suggestion but here goes nothing xD

    • Crew kdr/kill stats to be regularly reset (monthly or quarterly?), to more accurately reflect the current state of crews across the server. Currently, the top crews in /crew list are inactive one man crews (and not even players with reputations for being pvpers). I think given how quickly the dynamics on the server can change it would be nice for crews to be refreshed every month or so.
    • Reimplement Pearl Cooldowns. In the past, you could only throw a single pearl at a time before throwing another which made those super easy pearl spam escapes a little tougher. It would be nice to see this added again, or even a longer cool down of 20/30 seconds?

    Good citizens of… here. For the past couple of long moments in time, I’ve seen a pattern. Crews of single people, or crews of multiple people that rarely interact with each other. Underground bases and endless grinding of XP and materials to make top tier gear for the fear of being attacked which rarely happens (Since you’re in a nearly inaccessible box of brick tens of meters under the surface… damn Vault Dwellers). Over this extended period of time, things have grown quiet. “Wars” consisting of one player ganking their neighbors repeatedly and calling it the battle of the long moment in time. Our poor economy… Dude… why waste XP and materials on this “God Gear” if you can purchase it for like… 5 cents at every shop in the server… No! Enough of that shite!

    I propose a temporary solution to this dullness! Call it… dressing the salad… I personally like parsley on my salmon, but you call it as you wish…

    Look at real world instances… War, REAL war, has brought about many interests over time. Aye, it is dark, miserable times. However, look at what happens: Production and economy temporarily rises, nations find solutions to issue and start anew, despite which side lost. People come together under a similar cause. Yes, referring to this history is dark, and it may make me seem like a jackass, but I can find no other relation.

    War… We need it here. Over the history of our wonderful server, war has done the same as it has in real life situations… I can find no other solution to our problems (Even if you don’t see them) except this. Now I could get people stirred up and fight those crews considered “evil” in many people’s standards… Yet those guys happen to be good mates of mine so I’m not doing that… I propose a staged war, lack of a better set of terms…

    Two teams will form, and fight… simple. It could be a set of alliances against another set of alliances… Or just two well developed crews going at it… The catch is: No one needs to completely annihilate the other team in the first five minutes… And I want no cold war! Actions speak louder than words!

    Now, the crews/alliances can volunteer. (And Coalition and Savage… please… I prefer that you stay out of this one, given that you all run through people like a bus in a corn field (love my absurd relationships?) Unless if you are willing to not wear blue for ONCE… and fight on the level of the opposing team, be my guest.) The two side should at least be given the time to develop sort of defenses and what not before this all kicks off… And please, don’t be afraid to go against friends, this is a game have fun! And do note that I don’t plan on this being short… and I would like to see both sides go at it… not just one playing offense and the other defending… get involved! Get mad… in a good way…

    Another option: You could just ignore this and live life in your little vault… Interacting with yourself and who ever you sell your god gear to, Hell you already have 20 sets by now, yeah?  Why not just make an ever decreasing profit off of one of the most abundant products on the server…

    (Pfft… Don’t listen to him, he’s crazy… Look at ‘im… He’s in the Asylum for a reason, damn it…)

    Yeah same here, there isn’t much information actually on what each cannon does at the end of the day.

    Mortars shoot up, Carronade/Short Cannons shoot across, Doubled Barrelled Cannons shoot across twice.

    Even then, I don’t know what the difference is between a Carronade and a Short cannon, other than their physical dimensions, or if the performance of the Doubled Barrelled is any different either other than having two cannons.

    Also taking into account you can now make all of them out of different materials should also be noted in how they work, or is it just instead all to do with visuals, and how they look, rather than the differing rarity of the items used in their construction- the only cannon I believe I can think of off of the top of my head which is slightly differentiated is the Rusty Carronade cannon, which can only fire shrapnel which is the weakest of all cannon shots due to it being anti-personnel but only firing a single shot.

    For people who come to the server and are new and discover the different sorts, I am sure it can be quite confusing as it seems like relatively difficult decisions on what cannons to mount, and which are better in certain situations etc. But even now, to someone like me I sometimes wonder and think about what could be better, just out of pure curiosity due to just not knowing.

    Testing of the cannons to find this out may have to be commenced by players whom are willing to do the research (I would be, unfortunately I cannot as of right now).

     

    SO piggybacking off of @elisapop it should be noted to include each cannon type and material type as it wont be included in this rough summary below of statistics which matter to this subject (and please specify if none of this matters also);

    The range of each cannon (ideally maximum and minimum).

    The effects on projectiles, such as if certain cannon are better suited for certain projectiles, but not taking into account personal choice for projectile use on the cannon.

    The noise I guess, never really thought about the noise as such, but I’m sure that could be thought about.

    Effects of certain cannons, such as recoil, reload time, aiming speed, accuracy, their weight and possible effects on ship speed.

     

    I’ve tried to think up of every point of each of these cannons, I hope this could become clearer, much like how Elisa and I’m sure other members of the community would. Thank you. 🙂

    Well, at least I can finally put this worry to rest, and remove my claims from the ‘Iborian Canal’ once I get back. :/

    Wow its been 5 months since someone posted here.

    Last night I made what might be the smallest ship currently working on the server. Above water it was 9 blocks (below water i had some blue wool and more wood so that it was the minimum size for a dhow – 25 blocks)

    Ship Features:

    • A single sail reaching a top speed of not very much
    • A deck consisting of two blocks
    • Two extendable platforms for the scrubs
    • A mast with a crow’s nest
    • A toilet (the ocean)
    • A /kittycannon and a /fireball cannon (admin commands)

    Hey guys, player who basically only exists as of right now on the forums.

    I have some proposals, I don’t mind if they’re refused as they ‘make the game better’ or whatever, its basically just bringing up a topic which I think needs sorting.

    SO, If you didn’t already know, in the East Mesa of the Iborian/Juice Sea, there is 1 large canal and a smaller, under construction canal. The larger canal is called Gordy’s Gate and I remember when Gordy set it up, he basically capitalised a canal by adding a toll of (I think) 1  diamond to open the gate and allow your ship(s) to pass on through. It was ok at the time, he was active etc, but recently (like past 12 months I think) he has been inactive for some unknown reason.

    I didn’t bother bringing this up at the time, as I was sure he’d return or whatever, but I was beginning to build a small canal nearby, which just due to time, lack of labour and just other interests/projects, I just never got around to fully completing, which could serve any ships which could fit through, and I often debated capitalising it like Gordy’s Gate.

    However, something months on, I have realised and have debated also with myself whether to propose this, but I’ve decided I might as well now.

    PROPOSITION: We should remove the Gordy’s Gate payment feature and remove the claim, and instead replace it with an admin claim with some claims at either end to prevent people from blocking it or capitalising off of it.

    *But leave the gate part how it is (removing the barrier though obviously), as it’s historical to some extent, the canal can be edited though, such as making it deeper

    The other proposition which is also included here, was that my claims (as well as some other people’s) around/on the smaller Iborian canal, should also be removed, should be completed also, and then be admin claimed (avoiding conflict with Apple’s base).

     

     

    Positives

    This would in turn, open up this sea for more travel, and allow people to move their ships much more freely, as it can be a pain otherwise to get to events (e.g. ship battles), especially when you have to go through the hassle of remembering a toll and being able to navigate the sometimes shallow canal.

    This could also encourage boats slightly more, though that is just for people moving their ships about in that area, rather than across the server.

    Negatives

    Me, Apple, Astrobolt- and anyone else in that sea, have to put up with more traffic, and possibly new colonies/bases, which hopefully the staff could police and encourage people instead to go to locations not so near us.

    (I have no other negatives in mind really)

     

    Anyway, I’ll be posting a picture below to show the plan/proposal I have for the area, taking into account also Apple’s claims.

    I also would like to note that I don’t mind my claims being removed IN that small area and (I hope) the claim blocks come back to me on that one, but I also don’t mind if the Iborian one is just regenerated also, as I wouldn’t be that annoyed.

    I don’t mind either.

    I think Astrobolt doesn’t want it at C though due to the clear fact that it will be near his vault, it would also be near me, which I would be slightly hesitant also, due to the fact I don’t want a ton of new building port/areas nearby me as such but hopefully Maximus can police it and set up small ports for people away from our territories, probably the same goes for @AppleJK ,though it’d mean their crew can get to the area easier to take part- BUT https://piratemc.com/topic/gordys-gate-iborian-canal-proposals/

    B is again open ocean, I think that’s got alright access, just have to open up the Southern reaches of the Iborian Sea a bit to allow ships to take that short cut, apart from that I don’t think it infringes any claims or causes any problems.
