I used to play this server a long time ago. I made a mistake. I thought I was doing no harm, but now that I look back on it, I can see why Java made the decision to ban me. What happened was that I was on a teamspeak I believe with one of my friends, DriftingSixGuns. I told him to come play with me on another server, and he told Java. I ended up getting banned, and it makes a lot of sense. It was a dumb decision to make, and almost a year and a half later, I really want to come back to the community. I was always a controversial player, but the server is competitive, and I feel like I have matured a lot since then. I’m sorry for my past behavior, and I hope I can come back with a fresh start and everyone’s open mind.

Hey I was banned for reason “bye” a year ago by JavaInvader, I think I earned my lesson, may I get a unban?

Ahoy! I thought since our /staff was years out of date I would tackle it tonight, and it took me the entire evening!

/staff now shows all online staff including helpers, builders and build leaders now, /staff 2 lists all staff and their commands and I have moved the inactive staff to an inactive panel so players now know who the active staff are.

• I have re-formatted /staff and /staff 2 to reflect staff online and list all current and inactive staff.
• Role change, The_Network will no longer be dealing with any moderation and was moved from RearAdmiral to Housewright, from Admin to Build Leader, so he no longer has any moderation/admin tools, but can now promote/demote craftsman (builder) across all servers and is building a build team, so get in contact on discord.piratemc.com.
• Role change, creeprr was moved from Housewright (build leader) to shipwright (Developer) and will be working on custom plugins/fixing broken plugins, shipwright is the same color in game as housewright so not much change apart from title for creeprr at present!
• Removed ranks from inactive staff: javainvader, PaulOnFire, Chailey, KellyYore, they are all welcome back if they start to playing again.
• Created missing /Maximus_Terragon, /lazydog11, /emielreijs, /pythonace, /The_Network, /creeprr (updated lucky to /_freke_)
  These will be active from the next restart.
• Updated /mountainrasta and /Lawzoneon to have the right colored usernames.

Reason: A few years ago, I was inactive for a period of time. Elo106, believing that I had quit, decided to build a castle directly next to my base. He has since quit the server, and told me he was planning on never coming back (check with JavaInvader if you  need confirmation; I believe he knew Elo). I am hoping to get the town/castle unclaimed and regened back to its original state, but I understand if you are unwilling to do so.

Unban Appeal: Yo, It’s Leon. I was banned awhile back for “Advertising”. All I really did was tell a friend of mine to play on a different server on piratemc teamspeak, which I thought was okay to do. Java was staff on both servers (the one I advertised and here), and I was banned on both servers. Now, I think I should be unbanned because it was a rather innocent move, and I was unbanned on the other server. I’ve had 3 months to think about my decisions, so I’m proud to say that this won’t happen again.

Firstly, the ban was 150% deserved.

I’m fully aware the actions every member of “Creed” took were toxic to the community, more so mine. I spent the best part of 6 months playing Piratecraft prior to my ban, and I had no intentions of ever doing the community wrong. 5 months into my ‘Career’ here, we had a scuffle with staff members over allegations of cheating and in game actions.

These scuffles ended with the creation of what was dubbed a ‘copycat server’. For that I apologise to both the community and Godsdead directly. This was little more than an attention grab from the entire group, and I cannot fathom how poorly this made me look, and I’d be sickened to find out.

After sleeping on this I knew I’d done something sh****, which I will never be forgiven for, and I am not looking for forgiveness. I’m hoping that you guys will look at giving me a chance to fix them. Prior to the incident, I had been muted once, and warned once, both of which were applied when I was still new to the server and hadn’t quite grasped the general rules. I’d like to think since my actions that disregarded the community, I’ve further matured (Yeah I know, hard to believe). I hope my word is enough to assure any doubts cast over my motives for attempting to be unbanned, but my fate rests in the hands of the community and staff.

I cut ties with people I used to consider friends because I blindly and stupidly followed someone to the point of breaking rules and damaging the community. I want to rebuild these relations to the best of my abilities, no matter how long it takes.

To summarise the above: I am an idiot for ever being disloyal to the community, and I hope to put things right as soon as I can.

I’d also like to note (whilst it wont make a difference to the actual appeal) I discredited the work of SeconDeath, and have had no contact with him since the day after the incident. I believe that his influence was also a large part of the reason I acted the way I did.

My actions were made out of frustration and poor judgement. It’s highly unlikely that my appeal will be heard due to the nature of my ban, however I hope this is seen for what it was; fatuity.

I also want to formally apologise for inconsiderate amounts of drama and BS that I caused the staff, and anyone else who got dragged into any of the above because of senselessness on my part.

I’d like to thank anyone who read this far for their patience as well as anyone who has helped develop the server since I was banned, and I hope that members who I wronged such as GodsDead, Markusi13, SmokeyRiver, Cysteen, CrazyPirate, JavaInvader, Keto and anyone else will see the truth behind a catastrophic mistake.

I’m here to report the player JavaInvader;

-[Cheating] The player has used (He still toggles them nowadays aswell) PvP mods, in my video there’s evidence of him using those mods. The mods in questions are: Trigger Bot (Mod that gives you an aim assist), Auto Crit (A mod that allows  you to get a critical hit without jumping) and Reach (Allows the player to hit further from the normal minecraft multiplayer reach which is 3, please do not comment down something like “It’s actually 5” because yeah, the minecraft singleplayer reach is 5, but in the multiplayer it’s actually 3).

-[Abuse] So a few months ago a group of pvpers had joined the server, their crew name is Horsia. I was one of them at the beginning and since they weren’t well-seen by Java he started abusing his powers towards us.

-That group of pvpers and I sieged his base. After the siege had began we tried to find him and as we did we killed him. We won the siege, started looting his base and then he started teleporting back naked several times with the only purpose of getting us a warning for “harrasing”. Why? Well, everytime he teleported, he started hitting us to keep us combat tagged, since we had to teleport home/use commands the only reason to get rid of the combat tag was killing him. After he’s done this for a few minutes we all got a warning for “harrasing”.

-After I had dueled Java (That’s like a few minutes after that fight in the video below ended). I asked java if he was actually using something (I know I should’ve made a report I’m dumb lol), and he started trash talking and insulting me. After that I called him (yeah I know I shouldn’t have said this but eh I was kinda salty) a r*t*rd, and in a matter of seconds, he warned and tempmuted me for “disrespectful” .

-Java was offline but his cousin “wkeresey” was online. We decided to raid him. We sieged the place, won the siege and got into the base. After we got in we’ve found nothing to loot in there so we decided to teleport home, although we were unable to do that because the player wkeresey started combat tagging us so we had to kill him until all of us got out. In a matter of hours java logged on and warned us all for “harrasment”.

{In early May I began work on a canal between Cove and London. Large portions of the build were claimed to prevent players griefing the canal, but both ends were left freely accesible to players and some members of the build team/Tas terraformed the area and built server bridges across it.

However, the canal followed the course of a natural river, which ran behind what is now Javainvader’s base. The existing unclaimed river and archway were widened by 5 blocks to allow ships to pass through, but this portion was left unclaimed out of respect for Java’s claim.

Java took advantage of this and his response was to aggressively expand his claim towards London, erecting a gate across the canal and expanding across the river to a second mountain (which had previously been a natural barrier between the two bases) to build a wall of cannons overlooking the city.

Java told me that I would be allowed to use the canal if I paid a monthly tax to him. To avoid further conflict, I dug a new canal further from Javas base, directly adjacent to my own claims. This time, I made sure to claim it to prevent Java from blocking it again. At this time Smokey and Max stepped in, I was happy to see they removed my claim so that they could admin claim it. This created a no mans land and while we still had to build under the regular bombardment of Java’s Cannon wall, at least the issue was put to rest.

However, still intent on antagonising us, Java blocked the admin claimed canal with a statue of Trump which he locked in place. Max kindly moved the statue.

Recently, things have deteriorated as Java continues to harass and intimidate players. Java came into conflict with players and senior staff, being abusive in chat and showing little regard for the server and rules.

This is probably one of the biggest disasters I cant fix in a very, very long time.

You may have noticed a few very long term players have lost claims and posted in the forums, CrazyPirate, Markusi13, JavaInvader and admin claims. Today we managed to hit the nail on the head, and its not a good nail.

The design of the claim plugin has a table with a “next claim ID” in it, this is a terrible design, there is no need for it with auto incrementing ID’s, what this does is give the next claim created/changed its unique ID. For an unknown reason in the plugins logic, it was reset at an unknown time, what that means is that every new claim created from that point, was giving an ID from the beginning, so that new claim overwrote the old claim, so the old claim would disappear! we JUST figured this out after months of trying to figure out what was happening. There was no logs of this, at all as everything was working as intended, just with the wrong ID’s.

I wrote a ticket to the developer on September 5th trying to figure out the missing claims, in this I documented that we had claims up to ID
72287, and the nextclaimID was set at 3517. Today over a month later, the claims were still at 72287, this should increment, but it hasn’t! but the nextclaimID was at 4266, this means in the last month alone 749 claims have been overwritten! Oh shit! Now since we have so many claims, it will only effect the first 4000 claims ever created back about 3-4 years ago, unlucky for those long term players only. So check your claims.

• This will only effect very long term players that created the first 4266 claims.
• When claims are deleted, they ID gets lost, so its probably much much less than 4k claims, back then  claims were made and deleted a lot more as there wasn’t an expand function, so lets call it 2k claims lost.
• There isn’t a way for me to know for sure what was effected, and I cant change it, if I put back the old data, then the new claims that overwrote them would be deleted!
• This means there are a hell of a lot of old claims that were purged from the world, I’m going to class this as a mistaken cleanup, feel free to loot/fixup/re-claim anything you like the look of.
• No “claim blocks” would have been lost from anyone at all, those that had their claims overwritten would have got back the “claim blocks” to reuse. Claim blocks are generated dynamically based on your claims you have in the world.
• Its now fixed, I will keep an eye to make sure it dousnt drop again.
• We don’t know when it started.
• We don’t know what caused the ClaimID to reset.
• The developer knows about this and is looking into the cause.
• This shouldn’t affect 95% of the players, But I wanted everyone to know. Only those that have some of the very first claims on PirateCraft V2 from 3-4+ years ago.

Whats so utterly frustrating is this is a 5 second fix, I just fixed the NextClaimID to be the correct next ID, we tested it and new claims are given the correct ID now.
