I had to shut down the Wiki as it got overtaken by bots, there was over 17,000 fake accounts posting every day!
So I decided to delete the Wiki and start again from scratch, locking it down, building a better structure, adding in a better easier editor, adding in image uploading.
I have now locked the Wiki down to registered users only being able to edit pages, and I just opened up people being able to register again, Please use the same username as you do on the website/in-game.
I will be doing a full blog post with all my ideas for the Wiki, so this is a quick post to tell those that pay attention that the Wiki is now back up and working, ready for registrations and content creation! I’ve been spending the last week adding in some structure and more pages.
So this is more a beta test to make sure nothing is broken, any feedback is welcome.
If all goes well, I will release a blog post to make it public with all the ideas I have for the Wiki, you may be able to see what im getting at from some of these pages I created!

I hope i can inspire a few people to also go in and make their own articles! this could be really big!
And props to Godsdead for enabling the help tools, making it possible for even me to make coold things in my article (with a little trial and error)
I love the wiki !! Go make pages everyone, lets make history! 😀

April 24, 2015 at 3:51 pm #12726One problem:
When I went to sign up it said my email was wrong (I checked, it wasn’t) and didn’t send me one. When I tried to go into preferences to check i resent the email, which said it was already sent and I went to check and there were no emails.
Not sure how to confirm my email address now…
April 24, 2015 at 4:49 pm #12728^^ Same issue
April 24, 2015 at 5:28 pm #12731@Azuries @ChaileyOfficial I didn’t even think about setting up the email servers, thank you! This is why its good to test things first!
Right, I have enabled the proper SMTP servers, so it should send email properly now, maybe that’s why im not getting emails for when things are edited! Derp.
Looking at the form, it says Optional next to the email, and it defaults to false so people dont need an email to create an account, this is a massive security hole, so im going to enable that now! I tested it out creating a new account and it sent me an email.. to my spam folder! 🙁 When I registered it gave me this:
A confirmation code was sent to your email address. This code is not required to log in, but you will need to provide it before enabling any email-based features in the wiki.
Your account has been created. You can change your PirateCraft preferences if you wish.
Return to Main Page.
Maybe the checks didn’t work as it couldn’t send you an email? Anyway it should be fixed for new accounts now, I have no idea how you would resend a conformation email? can you find it? If you cant gain access to your accounts I can delete the accounts so you may re-create them.
Now I have to figure out why its sending it to spam inbox, otherwise nobody will be able to join!
April 24, 2015 at 8:48 pm #12735Yeah if you go under preferences to find your email it has a big button that allows you to resend the email ^-^

I must be fricking blind, I couldn’t see it haha, well my main worry now is that emails are being sent to spam folders? is this the case? or just for me? Im using gmail.
Im SOO happy with with the amount of edits that have happened in just a few hours, I love it!

April 24, 2015 at 10:36 pm #12742I use Gmail too, and had the same spam-folder problem
May 14, 2015 at 1:59 pm #13516I think I fixed the spam mail conformation! Can the next person with a gmail account that conformation emails were going to spam try creating an account and report back!
Im hoping this is now fixed so I can start advertising it again!

August 31, 2015 at 3:31 pm #20346I think I might create a main page on the website that links to the Wiki settlements page, we have many locations new people are unaware of! These edits are fantastic, keep up the good work. Im working on getting piratemc.com links working in-game chat, still waiting on the developer to add this 🙂 that way you will be able to send wiki links to people in-game.
