Mega stress on my end, the website and server have both been down simultaneously, I’ve been having website issues the last few months, so my webhost moved me to a new node on the other side of the world to see if that fixed the issues, it did not.

I’ve been in a battle with the web-host for days now in tickets as to why the website keeps going down, I just figured it out. On the right sidebar we used to have a status of the minecraft server, online/offline who was online at the time, when we moved nodes either the firewall & port settings got disabled or removed or the updated version of PHP handles the plugin differently, either way what was happening is that Widget was creating a memory leak, causing the website to crash, nobody could figure this out, The host was going “You need more ram, buy this upgrade…” Absolutely useless, I DO NOT recommend webhostingbuzz to host websites. But the website was sometimes working which was very confusing, then it hit me when the minecraft server went down today, it must be getting stuck since it cant talk to the minecraft server, so for now I have removed the widget until I can figure out how to fix it.

Why is the minecraft server down?

Because apparently all hosting companies are idiots at the moment, Again not anything I did wrong, Our minecraft host Fluctis resells hosting they buy from a company called OVH, this company’s main pipelines got busted up big-time, which kicked out any service that uses OVH, which turns out is an absolute ton of minecraft servers. “Buuut wen is the server coming up…” 1. I will nuke your face, 2. When OVH fix their issue and our host Fluctis reboots everything, then I can boot our server 🙂
