I actually think network made a good call here. Its only a tempban, and in fairness, you were, albeit discretely, talking about other servers in main chat.

I get it, everyone talks about different servers to practice on, the thing is, we generally keep it within /msg or /c, and we make it clear that we’re practicing on there, for piratecraft. Talking about another server in the main chat, and regularly as network says, I can understand why he’d issue a temp ban.

This is a more of a common sense thing really. If you want to talk about somewhere to practice or play, do it in crew chat, or in /msg, make it clear you’re not advertising; common sense not to use main chat.

That said, there’s a good chance your appeal could be accepted, since you genuinely seem sorry. @thenetwork

I have to say you both are right in a way, bloatedhippo, because to me it looks kinda like Network didnt really clearly tell you what you’re allowed to do, so I get why you were confused about that, and Network, because he’s just executing the server rules, as talking about other servers is not what we want. But Network lowered your tempban already , which is to me a very fair move. And then again theres another rule “Do not contest staff decisions”

I say Network did handle this correct. But I do totally understand why you’re upset or mad, but it’s just one day and I guess you know now how to handle these things yourself in future.
