HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!!

238 years ago today, this day, the version of the Declaration of Independence we all know and love  came to be. Contrary to popular belief, America officially became independent two days before on July 2nd, 1776. This is the day the resolution of independence was approved in a closed section of Congress. What we celebrate today is the date written on the revised, final copy of the Declaration of Independence that was then signed by John Hancock and the other 54 delegates. This is the date that American’s now celebrate the creation of a new nation and their separation from Great Britain.

Originally cannons that were used in the American War of Independence were fired in celebration on the fourth of July. After many years passed, many of these artillery pieces simply wore out and led to the adoption of fireworks instead.

Now every year, from sea to shining sea, Americans watch amazing feats of pyrotechnics and spectacles of sparks in large firework displays or simply light a few sparklers in their own backyard to honor the holiday. Why should PirateCraft be any different? This is why at Ft. Ticonderoga of the Thirteen Colonies, I will be holding a firework display of our very own!!! Fireworks have been uniquely (and expensively) crafted for this occasion. There are also some fan favorites from celebrations past ( hint: Christmas in July ;D). All are welcome to attend and celebrate this day together!!!

When: 9:00 EST

We have had many lovely donations from both Gildor and Astro to make tonight’s event more special!!! Donations of fireworks would be very much appreciated and will only add to the spectacle.

Also… NO PVP PLS. If you are suspected to cause trouble, then I hold the discretion to not allow you to attend. Guards will be present. Let’s have a good time, shall we? Party like it’s 1776!!!
