I performed some necessary updates & the team helped test some of these things, I updated Spigot & Griefprevention.
This GriefPrevention update “updated” how sub-claims were saved in the database, It looked like all claims converted properly, alas when we tested all sub-claims at /warp market were no longer existing, Please be patient while we get a backup server running to figure out who’s claim was whose to re-set them.
So whats changed?
- Dogs/wolfs are no longer invincible (Third time lucky?)
- Siege has been turned back on, as the Siege glitch where people could toggle claim explosions in siege for a claim that wasn’t theirs was fixed.
- I enabled PVP in GriefPrevention again to allow for GP to recognize when people were in PVP with wolfs (Please take note of any issues with PVP now, we have another PVP plugin, and I disabled GP’s PVP capabilities so they would not conflict)
- Your basement and other underground structures will now be automatically protected by extending a new surface level land claim downward when you create a new claim, provided those structures are built with player block types and connected to other player-type blocks inside the initial land claim at surface level. In other words, fewer “I didn’t realize my land claim didn’t reach all the way to bedrock” complaints.
- Profanity filter was added, not configured yet.
- No more attackers placing TNT in besieged land claims.
- Performance boosts for creating, resizing, deleting, and managing permissions in land claims.
- It looks like you can now steal horses from people, so put them in a pen that they cant be ridden out of! This wasnt even in the changelogs so im presuming more things were changed without notice! so keep and eye out and post any other changes you see.

I didn’t even know this was an issue. Though I have no idea what’s meant with “player-type blocks” so this whole paragraph didn’t really help me clarifying things xD
I assume it means like blocks placed by a player and that the claim automatically extends downwards when you dig down and build there?

September 30, 2015 at 7:50 pm #21790Yeah, that’s what I understood too. Sounds great!
About the profanity filter – gutterspeak should be definitely be turned into pirate lingo! It would be awesome to hear people yelling at each other as if they’ve been brainwashed by dear old missive. XD

The claim already extended automatically as you built down, whats been added is if someone builds a giant base and dousnt claim it, and then they try to claim it after they have built basements wouldn’t be initially claimed as the claim block depth went down to 5 blocks, until you started to build/dig down again, what this new feature does is check the claim area for tunnels down made out of something like stone brick, anything connected auto gets claimed down.
This was never an issue on PirateCraft, but it looks like some people are struggling on other servers, I assume they dont have bibles in the starter kit!

September 30, 2015 at 9:26 pm #21802A totally serious complaint: after the update my cows dont like fences anymore. I thought it might be a client glitchy thing like always but after a relog they were still all over the biome.
Which bugs me a bit more is that the update seems to have messed with redstone ._. Some signals don’t get delivered like they’re supposed to anymore and that kinda broke stuff. Nothing too serious so far, I could fix everything. Plus I don’t know if there’s even anything you can do about that.
EDIT: oh and thanks for the clarification 😀

When mobs are cramped in one area, they’ll glitch out and get sent through walls. This happened when I tried to make a traditional auto chicken farm (auto cooking) because the space that the baby chickens get sent to, was only one block wide. I had to create my own auto chicken farm that was wider in order for it to work properly. I’m assuming the situation’s the same for you. Give your cows more space because you probably have cramped them into a space too small.

Maybe this is new mechanics from updating Spigot itself, if it can be reproduced it can be sent to the developers, there are no logs that any mob AI has changed.

I don’t think it’s anything new because I tried to make that auto chicken farm probably about two months ago I believe?
October 1, 2015 at 10:32 pm #21830Well this just started to happen for me. And I don’t think it’s the amount of entities in an enclosed space. The only animals that behave like this are my three mooshrooms in a 4×5 area (including the fences). The 20 regular cows in about the same space don’t show this behaviour. It happened several times now though I don’t know which of my actions have caused it, it’s seemingly random. I’ll update this if I find any more hints on what could cause it.
The only idea I would have right now is that there is a tree at one corner which the fence is attaching to. I chopped it down and will report if that stopped it.

October 1, 2015 at 11:00 pm #21833@S4t4nkill3r I dont think this has anything at all to do with the recent updates? @elexandre1994 said this happened months ago, there hasnt been a report, if someone can reproduce it and create a new support ticket then I can look into it.
