This forum thread reminded me of a screenshot I saved a few weeks ago on a conversation that really bothered me and a lot of the veteran players of the server.

Frankly, the community’s maturity level and politeness level has plummeted since when I first joined. People curse openly more and make more crude references than ever before and it is kind of sad to see the chat nowadays in comparison to chat before.

The player community has simply become darker and I’m honestly not sure we live up to the standards that we advertise.
Running in big bold letters across the homepage of the website is:

“We are a oldies running the server, keeping gameplay mature.”

When I first joined the server I was very impressed by how mature the community was and how good the server staff at the time (Godsy, Marky, Super, and Reaper) were. The server staff is still great today with Smokey Vape and Callie taking on the brunt of problems but they constantly bogged down with some kind of work in one way or another.

THIS IS WHERE THE SERVER COMMUNITY STEPS IN. The server community always helped staff out in the old days but now, the server community actual directs hate messages and ridicule towards anyone that tries to help staff. These people are the ones who are despicable and are dragging down the maturity and politeness levels.

So I’m sorry for this rant of a forum post but I’ve had enough of this newer generation of players. This is a call to arms…. or rather, call to keyboard, for every single player in this awesome community to start helping staff again and shame those players who are immature and impolite and ignore the players that call these helpers brown nosers because I’m sure staff is grateful whenever these so called brown nosers help report players that staff doesn’t notice, and deal with deckhands that staff can’t handle.

Thank you for reading this post. If you are a player who has called another player a brown noser when they were just trying to help staff or if you are a player who makes crude remarks and impolite comments, then be shamed.
