This is the a very misleading title and to be honest I don’t think you ever think that much stuff out, but the item you are addressing is an interesting one people have made forums about this in the past and the main conclusion people have came to is that things like ships would be used more heavily if the world was turned into non tp

I’d say the Pirate age has passed.

Well, It’s true. There aren’t any real Pirates, just Warbands. Ages ago, there were tons of ships and Pirates. Back during the Delta days. We may deny it, but there is no hiding it.

There were a lot of ships in port, though.

You weren’t even around back then. The use of ships, jesus, occurred maybe twice during the wars with Delta, and had no affect whatsoever; it was simply a novelty. While I agree we need to use them more often, could you not make factless remarks?

There was a period where they tried to rebrand themselves as FBI.

Ships have little use on the server unfortunately; the main one being for decorating a port. It is so rare where you see 2 ships battle each other, due to lag, and well… It’s ineffective. The closet you will get to seeing a ‘ship’ battle, is a platform of wood, with cannons on it, firing cannonballs into the landscape.

This is where the RP aspect of the server comes in, to brighten things up a bit. Minecraft was not made to have moving ship battles, or even moving ships for that matter, but that doesn’t stop great builders building impressive warships.
