My ign is Astro_salt

Recently, there was a noob who kept pissing me off and changed his ign to astro_pepper, which is pretty funny.

Right after this, ign Larry_Palomino decided to play along and change his name to astros_mother

In my opinion, the username “astros_mother” is unacceptable and extremely innapropriate. (he isn’t even my mom) As you can tell from the title of this topic, I would like the username “astros_mother” to be nicknamed to something else.

Agreed, I was so surprised about these people who had the nerve to piss Astro_salt off by changing their usernames to Hingis out of the question. I was so suprised because they called me the “fatherly figure” and “change your username to “Astros_father” so I decided to /ignore and turn my chat off.

This is a pretty common occurrence here and in other servers.

Sorry if you find it offensive somehow, but I really don’t see an issue. The name is not vulgar, nor does it insult your mom.

Just my opinion, regardless @GodsDead will have to address this himself.

Question,

so it’s funny and okey for one person to do it, (Astro_pepper) but when somebody else does it (Astros_mother) it’s totally unacceptable and inapropriate, and a whole forum post should be made about it? Just curious….

The part that makes “astro_pepper” acceptable is because it is funny. My ign is astro_salt. Combined, they make “salt and pepper”. On the other hand, making a username called “astros_mother” is completely unacceptable not only because it does not make a pun or fun joke, but also because it is very rude and disrespectful, not only to me but also to my mom. This is one reason why it is offensive to me.

What you find funny and what I find funny are two different things. Maybe Larry thought it was funny, and that’s why he changed his name. Second, Larry doesn’t know your mom. What’s the point in making a joke/being rude of someone you’ve never met. He never had the intention of insulting your mom. Lastly, it’s the Internet, there’s gonna be things that you don’t like, but sometimes you grow up. And guess what? Life goes on….
