@markusi13 notified me today that people were getting auto temp-banned for spam for using the message commands; so I added these commands to the whitelist to bypass the command delay timer:/tell
/pm
/t
/w
/r
/msg
/m
/whisper
/c
/aThese should no longer trigger spam via command delay timer.
If people start to abuse spamming messages to people again then I will remove these from the whitelist, do make sure to report anyone that abuses this so we can permanently mute them.
Are there any other commands that trigger the command delay spam that need to be added? (I’m not adding teleport commands)
August 22, 2016 at 11:18 pm #39774Can I request something to be added to the spam list? /ally add!
One of the most annoying things that can happen is a small crew asking to be allies, getting rejected, and then spending the next 10 minutes repeatedly entering /ally add (name). Unlike /msgs or chat spam, the notification for an ally request is a few lines thick and obscures chat, and a few of those in a row makes you want to tear out your own brain.
Thanks! 😛

This does not sound like chat spam at all, as the chat command delay is 1 second.
I assume you are talking about the Crew plugins ally request, That I initially read wrong and thought you wanted the wait time lowered! you want it the other way around, you want the request time extended correct? I haven’t actually touched the defaults, but your 10 mins does add up to this I found in the config (its in seconds) 600 seconds is 10 mins, 120 seconds is 2 mins.
request:
message-color: b
ask-frequency-secs: 120
max-asks-per-request: 600So they can ask every 2 mins, I dont understand the max asks per request though? does this mean its capped at 10 mins? so they can constantly spam asking for 2 mins? or every 2 mins?
August 23, 2016 at 9:51 am #39791From what I gather, if you don’t deny at first, it will keep sending the request every 2 minutes for 10 minutes. If you do deny, they can simply do the command again, and the cycle begins once more.

Ahhh that explains the config then, that’s actually quite a handy feature I didn’t know we had haha, what might be a better option would be having a toggle for crew leaders to toggle off ally accepting.
We could double the max-asks-per-request to 20 mins, and then make the request happen every 5/10 mins, shouldn’t clutter so much then.
