Possible Naming Of Oceans & Continents?

I was wondering, could some ocean or main land masses me named?

This could be areas of the map and where they are, but more creative names than just e.g. Eastern Lands.

The mods could put forward a couple of decided words for each place & then the community could vote on it, this could be quite fun.

Then once that is done, in future someone could make a ‘globe’ of the world & highlight all the different areas or have it named, there could also be South & North of continents & oceans if they are very large or have segments which ‘split’ them.

Every week a new poll could happen on which the community could vote on 3-6 possible names?

Anyone else like this idea?

Sounds like something we can do for the new world that is in planning.

It is still an idea right? Or has in been discontinued?

We started this a long time ago.

Server Road Design & Blueprints

We have 1 county so far near spawn, all roads are named. But no more roads were created to separate areas.

what we could do is use the maps to set a marker on the continents

That’s what I was thinking @name_change.

Or some sort of filter over the map with a key.

It would help people to state were they were going, instead of describing.

i.e. (conversation)

Player 1: Hey were you going?

Player 2: You know /warp east.

Player 1: Where abouts?

Player 2: Around the coast.

Player 1: The North is part?

Player 2: No the Part to the East.

Player 1: Oh your going to the Forest there.

Player 2: No to the desert bit.

Player 1: There is a lot of Desert bits.

Player 2: I know right? Wouldn’t it been great if areas could be named, not every biome but you know, group them, so it’s easier to identify an area & where you your going.
