I created a texturepack a while back, I assigned a musket texture to a golden tool, so you have a hoe for ships, a spade for claims, and a (probably axe) for flintlocks!
Took me forever to dig that up! And this one, with a few more screenshots.
Golden Axe is used for WorldGuard regions, Be it an only admin Tool, we decided on Horse Armour for guns.
One thing Im stuck on figuring out is, with a resource pack is it possible to texture an item that does not replace another? We can give items custom names or ID’s is it possible to remap this to the blank space in a resource file? Or does it have to replace an item.
My mistake, I did use golden horse armour xD Not really sure how the whole thing works, it was a while back I did it, which was basically me assigning and replacing textures, alongside some names and the like. I could give it a try?
If you could figure this out, that would save me from doing it! I think golden horse Armour is the Go-to, keeps in with the gold, looks alright without a texture as a gun, cant be crafted.
I was wondering how would you obtain these guns, I was thinking a sell sign at cove. Though I think these guns should be for everybody not just the people with a lot of money…. maybe 100 $?
Thats exactly how its going to start out, being sold at the cove for a high price! Its possible to create crafting recopies, but Im not game for this just yet, it needs a slow introduction into the server.
