I started this slow cleanup in August 2015, I am finishing off this cleanup, original thread:
- Removed /warp wolf
- Removed /warp shop
- Removed /warp nexus
- Removed /warp city
- Removed /warp cts
Player owned warps were a Legacy feature I kindly allowed to stay for literally 2 years to players that owned them, some have naturally died off, some with a battle and now we are left with the last 2, /warp trade and /warp food. Both of these are still open for now until both parties owning them have read their messages and they both too will be removed.
My points still stand from my original thread that these are to OP for 1-2 players to own, as they take the entire Economy and retain a large amount of power.
This will hopefully remove any issue with “I was killed at warp” issues.
There is a plan for a fair-server wide Economy system, but this hasn’t been started yet, the first step is to remove the old systems to stop confusion and finally put to bed these legacy player warps.
It is a very confusing idea to new players that a server wide warp could be owned by a player and not staff, and with these last 2 player warps left, we are nearly ready to move on to greater and better projects.
Thank for for reading this, im sure this will cause a lot of panic, drama and upset people that are invested into these Shops, you have a few days-maybe a week to finalize anything you have left at these locations.
For background on these warps, they cost $9 as a 1 time fee and many have been active years. Even though these have definitely had their moneys worth used from them, I will still offer a free 2 month Captain package to Both Arinthros and Bislo1 out of good faith that I am removing these for the future of the server, so we can progress.
Please feel free to discuss.

*depends on how you want to view my super powers*February 25, 2016 at 6:12 am #29937It’s all for the greater good. Shop owners from my warp can come to me for compensation of lost rental periodes.
If anyone wish to keep their shop they can do so, but then the rental periodes already paid for will not be returned.

February 25, 2016 at 8:40 am #29938I have a question for the shop keepers at these warps. Will any of you be keeping your shops open for trade? If so could those shops be marked on the map so we can sail to them for supplies or at least a list.
I think it will be cool to sail the seas in search of supplies. Arrgghh ye scallywags

Donators can add signs to display markers under the “pirates” layer, its written on http://piratemc.com/map/
February 25, 2016 at 12:18 pm #29941Oh yeah, I just didn’t know if those were going to stay after the warp cleaning. I was thinking that under the shops page on the wiki the smaller shops that could spring up or may already exist could list there shops name, what they sell, and give their coordinates from the map so we could sail to them.
Of course that would only be if the shop/economy set up stays the same. You may have something else in mind completely. 🙂
February 25, 2016 at 1:37 pm #29942I completely agree with all of this, maybe it’ll make ships important again, and we can have ship battles, and sail the seven seas! 🙂
February 25, 2016 at 3:08 pm #29943Yeah nothing will change with the shops, its just the warping to them that’s being removed.
players can still Tp people in, set a crew home etc.
Im happy with them creating their own Wiki pages and then having a Wiki shop list, then they can even manage their stock and special offers from the Wiki.
Very soon players will be able to paste Wiki links into game chat too 🙂
February 25, 2016 at 9:19 pm #29953Well clearing these shops means that there will be a large need for material and products. Looks should be working more on increasing Standard Minerals’ production.

February 25, 2016 at 9:49 pm #29955PANIC,!!! Nah, I’m just kidding. As much as most others will hate this, it will open up many new opportunities for trade. For example, settlements can start trading among each other, making alliances more permanent. Some small groups may even start trading caravans to trade with any town they run into. With the end of this age, a new, stronger one is upon the horizon. Can’t wait to see what will happen!
I... I've got nothing... Carry on.
February 25, 2016 at 10:06 pm #29956As an update I have spoken to Bislo1 (warp trade) and KellyYore (warp food) and both have been very positive about their warps being closed. So I estimate a week(ish) until these are shut down, giving enough time for people to move out that have stock in them still.
February 26, 2016 at 1:24 am #29958seems like a fair and equitable solution.

~~~~~ from the dust of the void all is made, and to the void it returns~~~~~February 26, 2016 at 4:47 am #29961I got an Idea about player owned shops… In the event of an emergency when you need to urgently buy stuff or materials and we don’t have anywhere to warp to will be a problem.
So the idea is to let some players set up shop in a designated area at Cove. The players who own the shop will have to pay monthly rent say 500 bucks. So ultimately it is PvP free and people with no god armour or good stuff can buy stuff easily which is hard for them to obtain.
Now the players who own the shop will pay 500 dollars to GodsDead or Any admin who would be in charge of overseeing the cove shops. And that money can be distributed to random players through competitions so it will ultimately increase the server economy. More people will have spending money.
Just giving my piece of mind about the shops.. I am okay with the warps closing
February 26, 2016 at 4:48 am #29962Also the deckhands and cadets who work hard to get stuff to trade for money would be able to do that here easily.
