Update: Crew update went smoothly, there were a few fixes I needed to change no the fly but were all good! The conversion was a success!
Make sure to read the “whats changed” section as there are new features, including costs for commands and GriefPrevention claiming support.

The first time ever im posting out planned maintenance before it happens!
I plan on doing some maintenance on Crews that I have been planning for months and havent got around to doing, this will involve converting all exsiting crew members to UUID format in the database and updating the crews plugin.
Whats changed?
- The conversion isn’t built in to the plugin, I have had to write my own custom script, the developer just said “your crews will have to start from scratch”, you all know thats not how I roll, so I wrote my own conversion script. its a piece of crap, but I think it’ll get the job done, one issue I had when testing locally was properly converted player names showing up as “null” in the members list, this is the one major issue I cant figure out, Im hoping its to do with the old files I have locally of the world and plugins, so Im going to try it on the main server.
- Crew homes are now permanent.
- Since crew homes will not reset, these could easily be abused and be very OP, So you will have to pay £350 each time you set the crew home.
- It now costs £0.50 to /crew home
- It now costs £10 to create a crew
- Leaders of crews will be shown in crew chat with a star next to their name
- Players that changed thier useranme will be pruned out of the crews that still have the old usernames of players, as these would not convert to UUID.
- Claims are now properly supported with crews! You can do /crew claim trust, to trust everyone in your crew to a claim! This works for all the other grief-prevention commands too /crew claim containertrust, /crew claim accesstrust, /crew claim untrust.
- If you wish for someone else to be able to set the global crew trust in your claim, give them manager status in the claim and they will be able to trust the entire crew! This is good for updating the trustlist if people are added or removed from the crew.
- Trust status will not be automatically udpated if people are added or removed from the crew, so you will have to untrust every from the crew with /untrust all, and then run /crew claim trust to remove everyone and re-add everyone that’s now in the crew!
- Minor crew chat change, I removed the : from the conversations to fit in better with main chat.
Future Crew plans:
- Create a web UI displaying all crews and whos in them with a hostility meter showing how hostile the crew is.
- Add what crew you are in to the player stats page.
- Asked the developer for allies
- Asked the developer to set a crew color for crew name etc, This could be changed depending on crew stats.
- Asked the developer to actually display what crew is inviting you into their crew.
I plan on doing the crew update around 4.30pm GMT, we will be whitelsited.
Estimated maintenace time is about 20 minutes without any issues.
Backups will be made first!
Crew leaders can you represent, I will need 1 or 2 crew leaders at this time to help me diagnose any issues.

October 8, 2015 at 8:03 pm #22134Looks like the crew homes still reset on reboot, which is sad. They are still being saved in the database, so one the developer fixes it, you will be able to access previously bought homes.
October 9, 2015 at 4:33 pm #22172What about each crew being able to set multiple crew homes (say five maximum) which increase in price for each one you buy (+200% for example)? So the first one is $100, the second one is $300, the third one $900, the fourth one $2700, the fifth one $8100. Changing the location of a crew home costs as much as the number of crew homes your crew currently has. So a crew with two crew homes would be able to swap one of their homes frequently for the (relatively) cheap price of $300 while a crew with five crew homes would have to think very carefully where to put each one.
