    Looks like the server just died, I cant get into the console anymore to restart it.
    We will be running 1.6.4 RC2 Stable.
    We will have a ships mod off the bat to play with.

    There are options with the livemap to be able to log into it, but it would be a separate login to the website, It is possible to hide people from the map depending on class/rank as it has an extensive permissions system.

    One thing im worrying about is the loss of griefprevention claims showing up on the map, since the dynmap-griefprevention plugin has been inactive for a year, and the last two comments on the plugin page are from me! Unanswered! The developers website is also down, which isn’t a good sign at all, I might request that griefprevention has this built in..

    Im still at a loss on what host to get, I had an awful response from a server owners community, so bad I had to delete the thread, there are so many assholes on the internet! So I might just have to wing it and pick one of these at random and hope for the best.
    Its just a pain in the ass, every time this IP changes i need to plead with my web hosting company to open up that port so I can display if the servers online on the website.

    Dynmap Hide Options:

    includehiddenplayers : if set to true, players that are hidden (via the /dynmap hide command) will be reported to the UI as online, but with their position, health, and messages still hidden. They will appear in the player list.

    hideifshadow : if set to a value below 15, each player’s position and health are hidden if the light level of the current location of the player is at or below the given value (0=total darkness, 4=under sky at night, 15=full daylight).

    hideifundercover : if set to a value below 15, each player’s position and health are hidden if the current position of the player is under cover. Due to a current Bukkit limitation (pending acceptance of a pull request we issued), any block will obstruct the view of the player (once updated, this will shift to be based on the relative shadow level of the location – corresponding to how much the location would be in shadow during full daylight).

    hideifsneaking : if set to true, players that are sneaking will be hidden.

    protected-player-info : if set to true, access to player position and health information is protected. Players without the dynmap.playermarkers.seeall permission (operators have this by default) will only see their own player marker, while those with the permission will see all player positions. If this setting is not provided, or is false, all player position and health information is available to all map viewers.

    dont suppose there was one last backup before it went down? lol mined a good 20 diamonds in the last couple of days! 🙁

    i dont think claims showing up on the maps that big of a deal, ok its hadny that yoiu can see them when staking out your claim, but at the same time it will encourage people to travel more.

    i like the options you can put on the dynamap, i like the sneaking and undercover rules, it would be ideal if you only showed up on the map if you were on the top layer, so you could mine your way to people without them seeing, yet still see where your going yourself!

    Sorry Jon, Nope, I made the decision to make that one backup and that was it. Its a flipping huge download over FTP.
    I like them too, it means you could have a vault room and people couldn’t follow you on the map to find it.

    ah bugger lol, never mind i remember where i dug them up and its in my claim so not that much of an issue lol

    there is a good few perks to be able to make it so other cant see you on the map, makes the game much more sneaky

    Well, Ill turn those on when I get all the files uploaded to our NEW SERVER! 1.1% and a 5.5 hour wait for the upload of the old world, Just hope the FTP connection does not time out, Power go out, net drop, someone unplugs my computer.. If the upload goes smooth we should be back on track tomorrow. *Crosses fingers and toes*

    Upload process update: All files are uploaded apart from the world, Which failed around 80% last night due to a lost connection somewhere along the line, and it failed again this morning, third time lucky we currently stand at 92.00% bang on (ETA 27:29 Mins).
    I just hope we don’t loose connection/Server disconnects in the next half an hour, Then I need to find a way to unzip this world server side, re-configure settings for the plugins, update all the plugins and start the server.
    92 percent upload

    Anybody willing to help test the server once everything is put back together?

    5.27 Hours later the world.zip is uploaded! finally, Now im waiting on my host to unzip it for me! They have turned off the built in un-zipper for the web file manger, typical, I knew there would be another step.
    Im uploading the old stats database now, then Going to look at all the plugin configurations to see what needs changing before I update them all.. one by one…

    Well I tested it without plugins on a fresh world and it was fine, we’ll see when we get unzipped! There’s a 50min wait for a livechat, Submitted a Ticket, Its literally a 30 second job for them, its frustrating the software they use has the functionality, its just been turned off! Give me some time to look at all the configs etc, I want to get the server running first before we add this new boat plugin… Doubt it’ll be done by tonight, Friday would be prefect for testing as I have SuperGL coming down to visit, we can have a boat battle..
