Move to New server complete! Make sure you use the host mc.piratemc.com to join to the new IP!

39,000 files downloaded and uploaded later, we are on a brand new node with 3GB’s RAM behind us to hold a whopping 50 people now! I would like to say a giant thank you to all the donators on PirateCraft making this possible!

PirateCraft is down while I make an entire server backup ready to move to a new node (New IP) ready for a big slot upgrade.

Hopefully everything goes smoothly, Ill be on Skype while I do this (godsdead) and updating this post.

I expect to be down all of today, as this is a long process.

What all players need to do:

Make sure you add or update PirateCraft IP to mc.piratemc.com, this will be automatically updated with the new IP and you will just have to wait for us to come online! The website server status may be down even when we come back online on the new node due to having to wait for customer support to update our IP.

Noticed the banner then!? haha

Yeah were moving up in the world from a 20 Slot to a 50! Tripled our RAM and were on a less-troublesome node now, I have the new IP and am uploading the world files right now! Its going to take forever, I have 39,000 files to upload.

I just hope nothing fails, I plan on having a server alive by tonight if I can.

A TS server is something we are currently discussing, it is again an extra cost for us to run, so we will see how we get on with the extar slots, if we become busier, its very likely we will take it further.

This is awesome you are right! This is all due to the help and support of donators keeping PirateCraft alive and kicking!

I will create another thread for some of the big ideas I have, as I will need some help from players to help build, Build big!

One question. Will you be adding the BlingGrapplingHooks plugin? (And maybe BlingTrees?)

Warning! You will have to disallow people to hook mobs or players because it can, and will crash PirateMC.

If you do add BlingGrapplingHooks you will have to rename the fishing rods when you start and in the tools kit to something like: “The Fisherman’s Grappling Hook?”.

This isn’t a plugin request section-this is to update the community about the server status. Create a support ticket if you have suggestions, not in this thread. Also, just a heads up, but PirateCraft’s uniqueness is the fact it doesn’t have far to many plugins, and that it isn’t too far from vanilla minecraft. Not sure “Bling” plugins adding grappling hooks will be added to the game. Just Saying.

Move to new node complete! Everything should be working fine, please test everything and report back any problems.

The map needs to re-render, Ive set it to a high res texture now, Its a massive difference from the extreme low resolution we had before.
