- Newbie player protection was increased from 1 hour to 2 hours (based on feedback from @dorkito101 http://piratemc.com/topic/possibly-adding-new-commands/)
- Updated our banning system to include a lot of fixes and laying the foundations to a report function for players to report players, this will allow you to report a player with information gathered about both parties at the time of reporting, This is active for staff for testing and to be released in the near future.
- Warnings now have a numeric value of weight, this means a single warning counts as 1 warning point, some warnings can be set higher points based on severity of an offence. In the future this will automate removing people based on getting a certain amount of warning points, Limit is undecided.
- /c is now blocked when muted
- PVP messages have been re-formatted to PVP Missive, PVP removed as prefix from people in PVP, they just show up as &c red now.
- /c is now allowed when PVP tagged.
- Players that PVP log (leave the server while tagged in PVP) will now be notified to the whole server, this used to be an admin only message, but is now public, this will clear up any issues of people not understanding why they died and their armour/items dropped when they logged out during PVP.

While your on a roll Updating PvP related things may you add dropping items in PvP combat/Toggle
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”January 7, 2016 at 5:18 am #26718Is there In-game reporting for the community?
Ironic
January 7, 2016 at 7:43 am #26725Okay, 2 points;
Will warnings ever go with time? Ever? I still have one from about 2 years ago for non-English speaking in chat, and it worries me sometimes how close I am to a ban. 🙂
Also, what if deckhands abuse this pvp protection to siege warps, as they have done in the past. Does sieging someone turn of that PVP protection?

There is, it will be /report username some reason you write here.
But there is no way for staff to actually read these yet! So Im going to create our own web interface for staff to read them, theres no way in-game for staff to use this, so its in testing, It was an update I wanted to include to pre-warn people, and if they have ideas to tell me now as the developer is making this as we speak.

It is possible to “clean up” warnings after a certain amount of time, but not based on severity, I could recommend this as an option to keep anything over +1 severity, The best option would be to keep it manual, create a support ticket requesting them to be removed.
I have already taken action against this, there currently is no working fix, I have requested that there also be a denied commands section to go with the PVP timer, so then they cannot use siege in this 2 hour invincibility.
For the entire time we have had it at 1 hour, we have had 1 incident I have been told about a deckhand doing this, and it was an existing member using an alt to be a knobhead, it really isnt common enough to find a solution and its worth waiting for the developer to implement denied commands in the PVP protection (if he accepts my request)January 7, 2016 at 9:14 pm #26780thanks godsy!
it was annoying when i typed a really long crew message with /c and then someone (Keto) tagged me and it didnt send 😛

February 27, 2016 at 9:54 pm #30053You should update the ban system again, Because it is too weak for a power user like everyone who plays regularly on piratemc.
