There seems to be a new minecraft game coming out that is based around a stroy mode of point & click, different gameplay to what we have been using.

Looks, sadly, rubbish. Although it’s a separate game (most likely) it’s a step back in my mind, as there was always that worry that under Microsoft, fewer update would be released, and it would be new games instead.

Reading the title, I was hoping this would be /gamemode 5. Haha, guess not. XD

It’s luckily not Mojang making this though, it’s Telltale Games. They made the legendary Monkey Island, so let’s hope they can pull it off with Minecraft as well…

3 of those charecters are from one piece meaning that there might be some pirate action in the game…..

From what I gathered today, if I paid attention, I think story mode is primarily, if not entirely for console versions… I may very well be wrong, though…

Someone should write a story on the Wiki for PirateCraft that people can play through the survival world, Or we create a new world specifically for it so its got its own permissions.

Could be prizes, rank people up to cadet early etc.

I’d be happy to write a story, unless you wanted it written like a pirate would write; then, my inner Grammar Nazi would explode. If you were to create a story mode, it would be cool if you had to be with a group of at least 3 people before leaving spawn!

At 18 seconds in the video, it looks like actual game footage because there is a green outline on the zombie before whoever that guy is kills him. I hope that this game will not be taken by Microsoft as a priority over actual Minecraft.

Oh, don’t worry about this game being microsoft’s priority. It’s a seperate game made by telltalegames (the studio that made the game for The Walking Dead, for example).

What we all actually should worry about is the announcement of ‘Minecraft Windows 10 Edition’… Microsoft has announced that it will, eventually, replace the ‘old Minecraft PC Edition’ once it has been developed enough.

This sounds like yet another terrible idea from Msoft to me. What do you all think?

Depends how its made, if it keeps all the old hooks so the Spigot client can still hook into it then itll be fine, if they change the API calls then were all fucked in the server department, This is the first im hearing of this, you got a link for me? it could just be a shitty port and they keep the Java version still, Then again it would be fantastic to move the hell away form a Java developed game to something more stable, but it entirely depends on thier support for the server community.

I think this looks good, but does that mean they won’t be updating this version of minecraft when they realease “Minecraft Windows 10 Edition”?
because that would be terrible, I might not get windows ten, I’m happy with windows 7!

it makes sense if this game is added to consoles only because many things have happened on the PC version to make this game unnessesary, like adventure mode (gamemode 2), command blocks, maps, and even servers have been dedicated to this sort of thing.
