I think that maybe we should add like in game countries. Not like the landmass but like alligances since the server is in 1700 roughly wouldn’t there be warring nations like the Spanish and the English? I personnaly think if these groups are considered that the admins could be the rules and this would be a good idea because it would give people a flag to fly on their ship/settlement.
January 8, 2015 at 10:17 pm #7641I have a nice 1700s fort in my base; I would like the idea of creating copies round the worlds, in strategic points. Players enter the fort, as a member of a certain group, and either pay, or spend a certain amount of time in the fort to earn it. Perhaps for every second spent in the fort, is a second longer the enemy has to be in to capture it. So, its like capture the flag. The multiple nation things would be cool; Spanish, Portuguese, British, French, Pirate. If anyone’s interested in establishing a British Empire, tell me!

January 9, 2015 at 8:10 am #7655Right, I’m British Empire!
January 9, 2015 at 10:05 am #7657Captain V, you would probably be better off as Sweden or Denmark, as those are Scandinavian countries that actually had permanent colonies in the Americas and East-Indies. They weren’t as notable as the English, Dutch or Spanish, though.
Portugal had its best time in the 15th and 16th century. Afterwards, the British and Spanish started to conquer the New World, while the Dutch and Scandinavian East-India Companies simply wanted earn as much money as they possibly could.
In Asia, Japan, The Ottoman Empire, China and India were the most important ‘players’.
I don’t think Egypt had a very interesting role in the above mentioned things at that time haha
Also, I suppose my preference for ‘being’ India is quite obvious 😛
January 9, 2015 at 1:11 pm #7660Like I said Tim, the Egyptians at the time had alot of trade, which made them a big deal if only for the trade ships to be looted.
January 9, 2015 at 3:01 pm #7664Oh and maybe we should also introduce neutral groups like the bucaneers.
If somebody asks i would like to be one of them. They were a collection of deserters hunters foreigners and all that people that didn’t want to live in the colonies anymore so they lived on hispaniola and had many independet settlements…the only thing all of them had in common was that they all were neutral and had no big role in colonisation.
January 10, 2015 at 6:21 pm #7705Its great to have official countries and stuff in game, but I dont think anybody should be forced into having to join one of the groups. Players should have the ability to create a new country that hasn’t been already officially established , or just stay as a pirate, along with having to join an official country.
