I believe it was Markus. He pulled me aside one day and I told him the truth about what I was doing.

Unban Appeal

Knight0fDoom here; it’s been three years since i’ve played with the Piratecraft community. Co owning a server of my own now really has shown me why you wouldn’t want someone who’s previously hacked to return, and if that’s the case i will respect that. I was completely in the wrong to use a client to give myself an unfair advantage over other players.

I’d like to be unbanned mainly just to enjoy the server again. I have really good memories of my time on the server and i’d love to come back to that, and meet all the new faces that have joined over the years, as well as hang out with old ones. The second reason (And i do NOT intend this to sound like some kind of bribe or something. It’s an idea i’ve had for over a year now.) Is with the animation work i do, I’d think making a Pirate animation later in the year would be something super cool, and i’d love to be able to derive that from the Piratecraft community if at all possible. The time i spent on the server really inspired me. Though not to detract from what i’m asking with this appeal; it’d be a real pleasure to be able to enjoy the server once again in a mature way.

Thanks for your time and consideration. I hope to be sailing the seas once again with our fellow pirates soon, if you’ll have me.

Sure, it was almost 3 years ago, but I think we all have to ask ourselves if we are really going to start letting these kinds of hackers back on PirateCraft. I think that for the most part we can all agree that hacking in PvP is worse than x-ray as it more directly affects other players. As far as I know, the punishment for PvP hacking has always been a PERMANENT ban. I can’t think of anyone who has been an exception to this. Does a punishment as simple as time really get to bypass any permanent ban?

Well a lot can happen in 3 years, in my personal opinion I think he head changed and I hope for the better.

He said he has co-owned a server and experienced the wrongs of his actions by moderating the hacker he used to be, he was put in a moderators shoes and saw why he would want to ban a hacker.

I hope if he Knight comes back he doesn’t repeat his mistakes and learns from his 3 year long lesson…

I looked at your username history and put all your usernames into the ban checker and found “Setauket” https://namemc.com/profile/Knight0fDoom.3 was your username when banned.

So I found your punishment tracker: https://bans.piratemc.com/index.php?action=viewplayer&player=Setauket&server=0

Banned on 9 April 2016 02:48:56 AM, No other issues on record so its the hacked client.

It is a perm ban without coming back for hacked clients so the ban was justified.

I will give you a second chance due to the 2.5 years time to think about the cheating (Should be enough time to change)

Any new incidents will result in a perm instant re-ban.
