KIng_Cobra_C forever defenseless

Added on the “Kill on sight” list at /warp wolf for attacking players in shops, King_Cobra_C seem to have found a bug in the PVP protection plugin of the server.

The server consider him as a defenseless player (can’t hit others, can’t be hit) even if he’s wearing a golden armor and a sword or is picking up items and even 5-10 minutes since his last respawn.

He use that to stay at warp wolf, picking up items during players trades, taking items from freebies chests all of that while staying invulnerable.

I tried to ask him details on what he do to stay “defenseless” but never obtained an answer.

Edit: One more detail. I kill him sometimes (connection problem on his side (disconnect/reconnect) that makes him vulnerable or when he try to kill me – seems he know how to unlock it when he want to)

It is a bug with the plugin for sure because the same thing happened to me when I killed a person. The guy had iron and diamond gear on but I couldn’t attack him

I can confirm, I had same problem with the same player (and few others as well, but it was never as severe).

Im not even sure which plugin handles this, What’s the exact message when you try and attack back?

Im about 60% sure this is GriefPrevention, we do have 2 other plugins that mess with PVP.

Are you sure hes not just chowing down on God apples?

Edit: is the message “That player is defenseless. Go pick on somebody else.” ?

The exact message is “You can’t injure defenseless players.”. I’ve added a screen from yesterday night … look how “defenseless” he is with his partly enchanted iron armor and his iron sword …

witnessed the same thing to day, watched dark shot FTB a few times during the callie pirate ship event and he just kept getting “cant injure defenseless players” even though he was clearly wearing a captains kit and managed to shot dark out of his boat.

I’ve re-submitted this bug to GriefPrevention, this version seems to be very buggy.

But the developer is very active, he released a build today, so im sure this will get fixed.

For now, Lets see if we can figure out how to remove this, what other players are effected?

I say we /kill King_Cobra_C to see if that resets anything, when is he/she usually on for me to do this?

King_Cobra_C attacked me at the cove yesterday afternoon. I managed to kill him. He had a stone sword and no armour, and claimed that he was killing people so that he could have some armour. He also stated that he’d managed to kill someone who was wearing a prot 3 diamond chestplate…

<p>killed cobra myself just now, he then reapeared moments later in another set of armour and a weapon, he warped away, killed bislo, then when I shot him the system tells me on the second attack he was defenceless, roughly 5 minutes between attacks.</p>

He attacked me, wearing full iron, as I talked. However, when I came back to him, his was still in armour, but I was unable to hit him. H was abusing this glitch, and when I sieged his base, and attempted to burn it down, he wasn’t attackable, in a siege, wearing armour and with a sword. He managed to steal bislo’s diamond sword this way. Immediate ban hammer, please. And bislo, I am happy to give you 3 diamonds in compensation for that sword.

I am really fed up with this guy, I would permaban him asap if i ran this server. He is a mean disrespectful little brat just logging on to annoy others.
He knows about this glitch and beleive me, he is using it and he is using it good. I stood next to him trying to kill him, then i got the defenseless message, he noticed and he quickly popped out of the game, then in again while i was busy with something else, then slammed me.
If that is not permaban reason idk what is. Especially after me asking him why he was abusing this glitch, he told me because he’s better than me.

That’s just wrong.. The dude can’t pvp for shit, yet he is still insulting me like that.

As far as im aware we are an adult server, not happy about childish behaviour. Idk but im really fed up about this dude.

Huh so that’s what he was doing..
He tried to attack me at the free spawner in CTS, but I was behind an iron door and despite seiging he couldn’t break it (or stopped trying to), and I couldn’t get out to attack him.

This is irrelevant, I called for aid and he was killed; but notable he DID repeatedly log out and back in, I guess to try and make himself invulnerable?

Can someone please explain this glitch without any drama attached, pure technical method to copy what he is doing to become defenceless.

The only thing I witnessed was him logging out and back in as the others described; so I assume that has something to do with it?
