I think its twice now in the past week someone has decided to join every single forum group, no matter how inactive or irrelevant it is. Its simply rude behaviour, because while everyone has the right to join a group and see what’s going on, its another thing entirely to join 32 inactive groups just so you can spam everyone with notifications. And it is just stupid; it creates too many pointless notifications, and in doing so, hides the important stuff in important groups. I can’t see what purpose doing this would serve, bar being a twat.
Obviously there’s no rule against this, but the intention is clearly to spam and be an annoying little shyte, because there’s no way joining so many inactive groups is beneficial in the slightest – some of these groups, like New Zealand, have been inactive for more than two years!
If anyone else out there is thinking like acting like a douche, please don’t. Maybe nothing will happen to Eli, but your reputation goes down the toilet if you use a practical function like this to just piss people off.
