Im posting this for Jakkeyyy since hes banned from the forums, he wrote it himself .

I am Jakkeyyy. I am asking to be unbanned from Piratecraft. I have been a victim of an attack against my character and have been banned from the Piratecraft server. On 12 May 2021 at 04:34:19 AM I was banned for the given reason of  “Instigates drama, excessive punishments, toxic players – adds no value to the server” By Atalantaa. I was banned because of a poorly written rule that has been sadly used to get rid of players that people do not like over in game matters via fighting, raiding etc.

I was attacked as a censored majority by a loud minority of players because of my actions in the game that are encouraged by the plugins put in place on the server. I know that there are players that do not like me because of things I have done in game (that are not against the rules) or things that I have said that when taken out of context can be manipulated to make me look bad as a goal to defame me.

The reason why certain members of the staff team targeted me was because of my plans to raid them because I wanted the items they had and the accomplishment of getting into nearly impossible bases to get into. Videos by me on pmc about my in-game group called “The Boys in Blue” were posted on my YouTube Channel and members of the staff team wanted me banned because I had a threatening group that was able to successfully raid them and I told them that I was going to do so. Greed has cursed individuals and has made a bias on people who are meant to be fair enforcers of the server’s rules.

The punishment system is flawed in which players are punished for things they did over a year prior to a big punishment without any consideration of context, change in character over time, or age of the player at that moment. This is an action abusing staff members which should not be even thought of.  With a game like Minecraft targeted at a younger audience a lot of young players and teenagers join the game.

When I was 14 in 2020 during a pandemic that kept me locked at home and away from any social life outside I had 34 punishments out of my 43 total including my ban. I am not a mean spirited person. And I am sorry for stuff I said that could have hurt peoples feelings.I just like playing the game. The things I said that got me muted were against staff choices that I did not fully understand because I was a 14 year old. I did not tarnish the characters of individuals to a degree that was inclined to a punishment by the staff team. It was all banter between opposing sides that started from someone killing or raiding the other which is the point of the game as the game encourages people to use custom cannons and weapons to pirate things from others.

I believe in the fact that an individual is innocent until proven guilty. And I have not done anything to be rightfully banned.

On the rules page of the piratecraft website. Under punishments there is a section that states “Punishments are a chance for a player to stop and think about their actions and what they have been punished for; a second chance to be allowed to continue to play.

Collecting excessive punishments will result in much harsher future punishments.” Again the result of this being executed has been staff members milking the previous actions of people from over a year prior to a big punishment so they are not contested in game (raiding and killing) which is a blatant abuse of power and that is what happened to me.

I was given a broad ban reason randomly after doing nothing. I was shocked when receiving the punishment because I do not recall any prior actions of that week or month where I did anything ban worthy. This is more evidence to prove that it was because of the fact that I made a group on the server that had the goal of taking down rich players in the game for their loot, which is the point of the server.

The reason why I want to come back is so I can have a fun experience with my friends on a survival server that has very little modifications compared to other servers. Piratecraft is a very creative place where you can make ships and use cannons to get into exquisite and highly defensive bases and that is why I love it. There is always a challenge. So I am asking to please be rightfully unbanned and to not be judged on some mutes from two years ago when I was 14 that did not harm others and was just me being an annoying middle schooler going through a stay at home lockdown because of a worldwide pandemic. I am sorry for things I said when I was 14 but I do not believe that should add up to things now. There was not a specific event that got me banned it was a major surprise to me so I would like to be unbanned and I am sorry for anything I have done in that that could offend anyone. Im turing 16 and I am going to be a junior in a few months a lot has changed form when I was in middle school.
