Ok ok so welcome!!! Few things you need to know, most of your builds should have siege proof blocks you can find that in the info section.

Make sure you choose wisely where you want to go and be FAR FAR away from spawn if you want to settle down.

build somewhere it’s safe and dont accept all tpa

IF you want to monitor map activity to see who is near leave Map up while you play.

don’t trust everyone it could lead to a raid.

Choose what you want to be a politician, pirate, anything you choose. Have fun and also if someone is coming at you and does not stop with a sword in there hands run lol.

Well important places….

I would suggest the wilderness since some people can see you as easy prey when you are unarmed and near a warppoint(most of them are tradetowns).
Since most players build for themself and their allyes i would suggest you to avoid big buildings since the owner could think you are some sorta spy….better just got into the wilderness and build a smal hut and chat with everyone so you get to know people and THEN you can look at stuff^^
