I want to report a Hopper Glitch,

A few days ago Emielreijs told me about this, then showed me that sometimes some of his hoppers stopp working. They won’t suck in any item dropped onto them,nor put items inside them into a chest or another hopper.

The only way to fix them is by logging out for a few minutes and logging back in, or by breaking and replacing the hoppers.

I have no idea, what causes this glitch, nor can I think of why it keeps happening, because it doesn’t seem to affect all the hoppers around, some were still working. Also there was no redstone near the broken hoppers and it also wasn’t inside a subclaim.

If anyone can think of possible reasons why or what might cause this, or knows more about it, please comment and help us finding a solution to fix this.
