This thread holds the common mis-conception of most players on the server. People are trying to be so historically correct when all players care about is being a Minecraft Pirate. They don’t care that pirates might have only looted or whatever, (which is still a bad thing btw), they just want to play the GAME and be their version of a pirate. The definition of a pirate has also been re-defined in this server.

Also, might want to double check your google search on pirate history. They’re not remembered for being honorable warriors of the sea. And the reason why most people under the tight grip of a firm government call rebels such as pirates ‘heroes’ is because they have the guts to defy the control-hungry governments. That doesn’t make someone a hero, so that comment was completely irrelevant.

Stop trying to make everyone get serious over an online lego video game. If that’s what a pirate is to them, that’s what it is to them. If you’ve got a problem, there’s a thing in Minecraft called a “sword” or “bow”, (mostly used in survival pvp servers….oh wait). Try that for a change.

most pirates of  The golden age Wich is the era that we baisicaly represent (to the one piece fans were in the great pirate era but even so the same thing goes for them)  most pirates sailed the sea and loved it they had dreams a family and a moral code ( as i said “Most”) but they were sick and tired of the goverments rules and limitations to the poor.but eventualy they had to kill a person or two.this might sound bad but just think about this. you’re wife and sun havent eaten a good meal in  day’s.you joina pirate crew that promises gold and jules,you have no other choice the goverment wont give the food to the poor,you cant find a job becuase almost evryone is broke :/.you sail out with them too the nearby island or Puerto Rico (btw the idians in Puerto rico had TONS of gold but they dint see it as something valueable so the spanish took it from them and the idians thinking that the spanish were some type of gods they gave all the gold there weamon and became slaves) to the port on sanjuan and  you asult the town on the east side of the “moron” (its a fort) and take all the gold.you only have 100 coins worth of gold and you see someone trying to take it from you.you start fighting and his actualy pretty good with the sword  you see the crew bording the ship.he cuts you you cut him.you realise that the guards are coming and this fight might last + the crew is leaving.so you think of you’re starving family and back off and shoot the swordsman. this was  the cituation for pirates they were not ruteless killers (atlist most)
