Unfortunately today’s player organised ship battle was ruined by some members of The Elves who were unable to follow the rules.

The rules were clear, to ensure a fun naval battle and allow everyone to take part without op pvpers having an advantage we decided the following:
- no boarding
- no tnt bombing
- cobbleshot only
Despite everyone else be able to play fairly, _Cookiecarl_ and PopcornOne weren’t able to. Before the battle even started they began by blowing up end crystals on peoples ships and continued to do so through out.

Phantom tried to negotiate and be diplomatic with the elven leaders but they refused. Therefore, it is with regret that Phantom declares war on The Elves until reparations are paid willingly or taken by force.

I am sorry that the battle was ruined, yet I feel that the usage of ended crystals was in a grey area, not explicitly defying your rules. It was not right to use this loophole and I apologise to the participants, but I believe it could be more complicated than outright cheating. I wish this had not happened, but I feel it is unreasonable to declare war over this grey technique.

The cobbleshot rule was a prevention from other methods of cannon fire, not explicitly forbidding usage of weapons other than bow and cannon.

Did they board during the battle? Did they physically set foot on another ship? Otherwise, I can not see how the shot applies.

And the tnt bombing rule simply wasn’t present in the post, if I am not mistaken. And there is the possibility they did not know the rules altogether.

Despite it falling in a grey area of the rules, I expect you will not take back your declaration.

We will reply, once we more fully understand what has happened.

They did this twice! The first time we told them it’s not allowed and it was little damage. The second time they blew up the whole front of the ship.

Horrible attitudes by the elves throughout the event. Also they failed to say sorry but continued to be annoying and be pests.

Reptaria has settled the dispute, reparations will be paid by the aggressors. Phantom is no longer at war with The Elves.

I apologise for the elves that took place in this. This was the wrong thing to do, and we are sorry about.

I will remind the crew members that we aspire to play fairly and honestly, but I ask you to withdraw the declaration for the reason that infringements are easy to make, and difficult to resolve. We knew this when Nado committed massacre before Jammin’s event, and tolerated the behaviour. Could you do the same?

also @MadHatterSupreme One would have need to board a ship to place obby/and or endcrystals within the hull of another’s vessel, so no loophole to cover their arse 😛

Wait wait wait! cobbleshots only? That means someone could bring an obsidian submarine into the battle and be virtually invincible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should allow diamond shots too!

Hatter, it is fair game before these events start. And nado killed people in leather and iron, he did not grief ships and destroy them like TE members did.
