After a long chat with Max, we discussed another method of catching cheaters that didn’t involve a kick, so the most common things people are being kicked for have had the kick disabled in favor of some other admin tools. Still a lot of things will Actually kick for things that are super rare AKA people that are actually cheating.

Now, I want to clear a few things up with this utter horrible way players have treated the issues with anti-cheat.

1. I haven’t had a single piece of usable evidence or help to report back to the developer and the config man. (Bar Cysteen she sent a video!) I have been asking for literally months and months. All I have got is whining and moaning and no help, This isn’t something I can do solo, its impossible:
   1. I don’t play, I don’t PVP, I don’t see what you do on a day to day, you HAVE to report issues with detail on how to reproduce.
   2. That kick error you get, means something to staff, but not players, not a SINGLE person has sent me their kick error.
   3. Only showing specific scenarios work, I have to pass issues on to plugin and config devs, this means they need to know specifically how/when/why its being triggered.
   4. This could very easily be other plugins triggering it. It could be siege that reacts by doing something that isn’t considered vanilla gameplay and it then rightly triggers.
   5. There are still bugs, like there’s one in water when players use enchantments on gear (Not a SINGLE person mentioned it triggered with enchantments, I got shit like “Triggers in water pvp” When infact its just triggering when you have speed items on in water, nothing to do with PVP, key information has been left out.
2. There is a very bad misconception about the anticheat, I’ve been led to believe people think its an utter piece of garbage and it should just be binned. This kind of thought process doesn’t take into consideration how anti-cheat works, and it doesn’t take into consideration alternatives, conflicts, reports or literally anything at all. that’s not the case, The configs are gargantuan, and we use a paid config that is updated regularly that is used across over 500+ servers, now all servers are different, different hardware, plugins etc, so without specific detailed methods to reproduce, its impossible for us to figure out why it triggered to fix it.
3. we haven’t had any cheaters, we used to have reports of cheaters constantly, daily. it is working.
4. Another issue that is related, is that you get an inventory removed when people log out in PVP. So kick+pvp tagged=lost inventory. the only option to this is an extremely buggy NCP that’s left on your stupid PVP logging position, but its too buggy to use, it would create more issues. so maybe this could be adjusted or changed, or even removed, or even tested with it turned off! You tell me!
5. The people using the anti-cheat as a form of drama, do one mate. you ain’t helping anyone, we know who you are!

It really isn’t as bad as people explain it is, what makes it worse is how people talk about it, without helping. Does anyone even remember the time we used to struggle with cheaters? Do you even remember the shit we had to deal with then?

I need people to not be scared to post issues and reports, I will blow up at the retards still, they deserve it. but any legit concerns or issues need to be addressed. moaning in the background and bitching wont solve anything. DO NOT DRAMA!

So for now, until we can figure out why, Kicks have been disabled for a multitude of things in favor of other admin tools to track whos getting kicked any why.

Help me help the server, you need to report. It takes no time and a fix could take seconds for me.
