Following on from Chailey’s post, I have also decided to say goodbye to the server for an unknown amount of time.

Its pains me to say but I haven’t been enjoying myself as much as i used to playing on the server. Of course you have good times and bad times while playing, but I haven’t really enjoyed myself since May. I would like to blame it on over-playing but its more complicated than that. Its lost its charm for me, and I hope to rediscover it in the future.

Another reason, and one I share with Chailey, is what has happened in my life outside of Piratecraft. Things aren’t going well to put it politely, and I don’t see an end to these times anytime soon.

I doubt you will see me much on the server, let alone on the forums. I’m trying to get a break from everything, and i’m struggling to do so. Once i have time, and i am interested again, I will return but that won’t be anytime soon.

Farewell, and have fun you lot. You will be missed.

It’s a shame to see you go.

But sometimes we all need a little time to deal with our lives and what is happening in them at that moment in time.

I wont make this a sappy reply, but you will be missed, but I have noticed the gradual decline of you activity on the server, but the fact you have very few people threatening what and where you want to build etc. Will help leave the urge to come online- paranoia.

Think I can speak for us both crazy to say we have seen them come and go over the years but there are special ones just like Max who will remain in our minds and hearts forever.

You have my deepest blessings to what may come to you in the future.

What makes me is that charm that never got old even since I joined… It continues to flourish in me which gives me a deep passion to stay and play.

You’ve been here since I first joined, and I remember when the XE was just me and you. I hope any problems you are facing solve themselves easily and quickly and don’t cause you too much trouble.

The XE will go into decline without you, but trust me, we will wait for your return. The remaining leaders will keep the empire secure in your absence and I will ensure to the best of my abilities that your wonderfully constructed port and the rest of your lands stay safe and untarnished.

Of all the leaving of players, this one is the most touching to me. When I didn’t see you on the tab list as much and watched your posting slow, I knew something was up. Max, we have had some great times together and you are one of the few players on this server I deeply respect and enjoy as an individual. You are so kind, generous, creative, inspirational, talented, intelligent, courageous, etc. the list goes on. Loosing a companion like you on this server is a harder blow than any pirate can bestow upon me. I hope to see you back soon, as Pirate Craft never really leaves you, and there are always things to be done. I wish you the best in your irl struggles and I hope you know your are always welcome to talk to me about anything.

See you soon bud, may your absence be shorter than expected ;-;
