After a siege, I died and spawned in my house (bed spawn). Fair enough. I figured they would leave. They really didn’t get anything, had my chest protected. They are scaredlimabean and radmohawk. It was after that they they began to throw an item on the ground, and my character would forcibly pick it up and it would somehow enable PVP again. After I said it was an exploit they said it wasn’t. Contrary to what he said, scaredlimabean hesitated to do it again. When he did, I was recording and caught him exploiting this glitch. Further, they both now have access INSIDE my claim. I can wall it up all I want, but they can just /back into my area and siege whenever they please. After my death, they then linger about to exploit and kill me again. Scaredlimabean said it wasn’t an exploit because he was putting himself at risk by enabling PVP again. I’m a risk? He has full iron armor and an iron sword while I have nothing. Yeah… that’s pretty risky.
People told me just do /spawn, but that’s not the argument here. Whether or not I did /spawn is irrelevant to the fact that these guys were exploiting and they knew they were doing so; else they would have kept killing me after the threat. Defenses are useless now that these guys can just teleport inside whenever they please (enforced by the fact that radhawk kept teleporting back to see if the siege timer was finished). He’s keeping my base as his last teleportation so he can come back and kill me again.
I’m currently having trouble uploading the video for some reason. It’s of scaredlimabean using the exploit I mentioned earlier. I’ll figure it out and post the video whenever I can.
February 10, 2015 at 11:56 pm #8804I sorry to put it harshly, but, this sounds like another case of ‘confused/enraged PirateCraft noob’. First of all, none of the things they did were exploits. Picking up an item does engage PvP mode, but you could easily dodge it, or start punching them. Second, there is a totally legit and NON-exploiting method of getting past people’s defenses called /sethome (Or if you’re captain, /top). They can tp there at any time they please. Maybe they hesitated because they weren’t entirely sure that it was an exploit as well.

February 11, 2015 at 12:26 am #8805You think I didn’t try and dodge it? They just kept throwing it out wherever I went. Besides the fact that there is limited space to move in my house. As I already said, what can my punch do against someone with full iron armor and an iron sword? How is it in any way fair (using this lightly) and logical to attack back with only punching? Only going to get killed almost instantly. Explain to me how it is not an exploit to camp someone’s spawn and forcibly enable them to fight you whenever they please? Regardless if I dodged it or not is irrelevant to the fact that the exploit was used. An exploit is an exploit. Yet it’s still considered a ‘confused/enraged PirateCraft Noob’ case?
I didn’t figure I’d get very far with the teleportation command. Still though, why build these defenses if people can come and go whenever they please? Totally defeats the purpose to keep people out. Your /sethome method can be seen as an exploit as well. Serves the same purpose as /back. Bypasses all defenses. Doubt this one incident will change anything, seeing as this exploit has probably been here since the beginning.
With such a flaw, how has this error not been corrected? It probably hasn’t been a problem for most players. Seeing as most players have the decency to back off of someone and not commit exploits such as these. Given these aren’t seen as exploits, then this situation still breaks rules 1 and 7 as scaredlimabean openly said he likes to troll (insinuating that’s what he was currently doing).
I’m sorry this ‘confused/enraged PirateCraft noob’ is complaining about situations of harassment that are out of my control. Here I thought we were all supposed to ‘Be Polite & Respectful to all players’ as say the rules.
February 11, 2015 at 2:12 am #8809If he’s only in iron if you spawn next to him and keep on punching you will end up getting him low on health. Also, doesn’t /back only take you back to the last place you were before you teleported, so unless they don’t use the teleport command or any /warps, I doubt they can keep on doing it after the raid is done, so you could have logged off and waited for a bit.
February 11, 2015 at 2:23 am #8810There were two of them, and they one would back off and regen if he needed to. Even saw one eating bread. His /back is in my base. That’s my whole point. I can’t control whether they teleport or not. They can /home and /back all day long.
“I doubt they can keep on doing it after the raid is done”, which is what I’m trying to tell you they did. There is no doubt. It happened.
I did get off for a little bit. Made me something to eat, came back, and there they were. There was nothing I could do to get them to leave me alone, other than threatening to report them.
February 11, 2015 at 3:19 am #8813He presents a reliable case. The picking up of an item does engage PvP mode, this is true. Keep in mind this is to prevent players keeping spawn protection ONCE THEY’VE ACQUIRED ITEMS BY THEIR OWN MEANS.
And now, here we have several people ABUSING this for merely personal gain, and to boost their massive egos. They are abusing the role of this plugin and turning it against people, using it to bully by preying on the weak. If this is not exploiting or bullying I don’t know what is.
It’s one thing to hunt a person and to kill them, but I don’t see the sense in systematic killing, especially when it’s through a loophole.
Absolutely disgusting. 🙁

February 11, 2015 at 7:50 am #8814Again, I completely agree. This sort of behaviour is disgusting, and the way you have presented this, is most mature. Effectively, you were being spawn killed. I hate seeing this kind of behaviour on a server. This is by no means a ‘confused/enraged PirateCraft noob’, it is merely one case among many that highlights how players exploit plugin mechanics to gain an advantage. The fact that picking up an item makes you vulnerable to PVP is so that when you pick up an armour and sword, you can be attacked. NOT so you can be repeatedly killed for amusement. The solutions would be to limit teleportation after a siege, turn teleportation off during a siege, or make it aware that this isn’t tolerated.
February 11, 2015 at 5:15 pm #8823I totally agree with Alex/athen.
I thought that i would never think so but:
Even the most chaotic and aggresive pirates and raiders i have met so far had enough honor to pull back once they have won.
This whole spawnkillingstory is not just annoying but also extremly disrespectful and pointless. Also i have heard some bad stuff about radmohawk in particular so maybe we should keep an eye on him/her in general to make sure rad behaves according to the very few rules we all follow.
February 12, 2015 at 12:32 am #8842althought not breaking a rule by throwing an item into someones inventory, i would call this a case of harrasment, of which will need dealing with.
Ill have words
February 12, 2015 at 1:22 am #8844I am sorry for my rash and very inappropriate choice of words, @kickbuttpotato. I had been in a foul mood that day, but looking back, I deeply sympathize with you. I myself have been spawn killed repeatedly on three occasions (One by Unic0rnjunk101, one by Reptaria, and one by thijis). It is a sad fact that some people find it enjoyable to harass people by staying in their base and killing them. I agree with the idea of suspending /tpa during siege, because I hate it when griefers get in your base, and then tp all their friends to them and spawn kill. On one occasion, I eventually killed the aggressor with a combination of a quick /kit tools and persistent punching, and got my stuff back. But that is not the point here. People should not be allowed to spawn kill. Period. It is dishonorable and brings a bad reputation to the community and server. I would greatly appreciate to have @GodsDead opinion on the issue.
With deepest apologies @kickbuttpotato,
Jack

February 12, 2015 at 9:52 am #8849Harassment is not allowed on PirateCraft, Reaper said he would look into it for you.
There are plenty of ways to prepare yourself for this kind of situation, build proper safe rooms, build an exit tunnel, Build traps using gates & bridges, build traps using cannons, always have a secret potion stash you can make yourself invisible/Invincible for enough time to escape, If you have invisibility potions you are also hidden from the map!
You can buy potions from many of the /warps
I do not like drama and I really don’t like reading giant walls of text, Break pots down into bullet points, and post proof.

Just view a PVP log if you have one. It’ll back it up.
PS: Nevermind the obnoxious watermark. WMM was the reason I couldn’t upload earlier. Googled a quick solution.
