Your initial intentions were to defend the island, and help Jeff. However, there was a deckhand on the island too, one which wanted you to leave and was trying to kill you. We were fine with that deckhand, and I went as far as rebuilding part of his base for him and giving him gold and diamond blocks to replace the ones you initially stole.

After you got tped back a few times by the deckhand (which we had told to accept the tps so you could keep a back and get geared again) he started chasing you and killing you. You felt humiliated by the deckhand and in return set a home on the island, and proceeded not to steal, but despawn all his items through a wall.
