We looked earlier today. They were on half slab and with torches in the room. I was paranoid about zombies spawning and killing them. As mentioned above, each was individually tagged to help prevent de-spawn.

I though the only thing that could kill named mobs inside was a cannon, and I find it hard to believe a cannon shot that far into our claims was the reason….
