These are my own opinions, and anyway Gildor was the only BE to like it?

With regards to your points:

1. Yes they are slow, but with a speed boost (or just leave them cruising) they would be fine for travelling.
2. Vanilla boats are pretty damn easy to break too! – and its much harder for someone to board you if they can’t swim (hint hint).
3. If the server can cope with ship battles I’m sure it can cope with a few dhows sailing around.
4. Yeah maybe, but players can buy the ships provided at cove, or to use the warps like they do now.

I really don’t think that the 15 minutes it would take to change the rank up requirement is a legitimate reason not to change it. And I mentioned water fights in my previous replies, given the AC and the plethora of other places to fight, is it such a big deal to slow them down?

At the end of the day, players join this server to sail ships and be pirates, and Godsy has always said he likes things to be a challenge – so sacrificing a few conveniences to make them more useful across the server doesn’t seem a ‘waste of time’ or a ‘horrible idea’ to me, and atleast worth considering!
