Alrighty you landlubbers, I’m here to give you a general overview of what every seafaring pirate should know of: The Pirate Code. Every pirate code’s articles are different from company to company, so here are The Blackmoon Pirates Articles of Agreement.

Here’s they are:

I. That every person shall obey his King in all respects, as if the ship was their own, and as if they received monthly wages

II. Shares of booty are provided as follows: “the King and Commander, is allotted five or six portions to what the ordinary seamen have ; the Captain’s only three ; and Officers proportionate to their employment. After whom they draw equal parts from the highest even to the lowest mariner. For even these draw a share, by reason that, when they happen to take a better vessel than their own, it is the duty of the mariners to set fire to the ship or boat wherein they are, and then retire to the prize which they have taken.”

*Note* For good or worse, this can be waived under King’s orders

III. If any Person shall steal any Thing in the Company, they shall suffer such other Punishment as the Captain and Company shall think fit.

IV. Good Quarters to be given when Craved.

V. If an enemy calls for Parlay in the middle of engagement, offer no mercy. If Parlay is called in the beginning or the end of engagement, hostilities must stop for negotiations. In the case, that a bargain cannot not be struck, resume engagement.
