The host has crashed the server 4 times today, 4 times we have had to manually restart the server, its getting unmanageable. the problem has been the same for months, their mysql server.

I have pre-paired another server ready to changeover, but its going to take a good 30mins-1hour to make sure it works.

I will update this thread when I know what time I will be doing this.

I greatly hope you are able to fix this issue because I am really enjoying this server so far. I’ve only been messing around on it for a few days now but I am having a blast. I was also thinking about donating but with all these server crashes/offline time I have been hesitant to do so. But I am looking forward to less crashes and reduced lag if possible! 🙂

yeah i think gods should give donators an extra month due to all the downtime 😉 . Ive been sitting here like a fiend the last few days spamming the refresh button lol.

Its not my fault the server has crashed at all, it is 100% on the hosts side, I have had to be proactive to fix their mistakes and learn new skills, I have put in a LOT of time and effort to try and remedy the issue of their mysql server not being stable, and have had to move to running my own to save data.

I have completed the conversion, and can hope that my setup works and stays stable, the only issue I have is, if this server died I have no way to reboot or turn it back on without contacting my support.

Plugins that use mysql:
- Stats
- PVP tracking
- Cannons
- Claims
- Ban-management
This also means that the web-interface for stats and punishment checker need to be updated to the new server, I am hesitant to move these onto the live server just yet as I am worried about system resources, so there will be no live stats or bans displayed on the website just yet.

Maintenance update 2:
- Made some optimizations to the main bukkit config
- Made some optimizations to the main spigot config
  - Mob farms will take a temporary hit; I am testing to see if there is a lag spike caused by mob farming, mobs will still spawn but will not have AI
- Reduced the view-distance by 1 to give us a small boost, you shouldn’t notice a difference.
- Temporary removed Arenas and PVP tracking
- Claims have been temporary removed from the map plugin was running at 5000%
To do:
- Update to the latest Spigot build, to help with 1.8 clients compatibility.
