Can't connect, lava lag

I went down to my mineshaft to mine and it kept lag teleporting me back a few blocks and I fell into lava, then I lagged out, now when I try to join I burn in lava for a few seconds then get disconnected. What is going on? Is this the type of thing where you get your stuff back? I was carrying 9 diamonds, mining gear A pick with really good enchants and half degraded diamond armor.

It says Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. I hope this helps. Please get me my items back and more importantly let me rejoin. I havent died yet since I can’t even stay on long enough to die.
