All staff have a set of guidelines to follow when moderating. They are just that – guidelines, and are interpreted differently by staff in different situations. Some of our newer staff might come across as a little strong but that’s simply what they’ve been told to do.

It is difficult to draw the line with certain words/phrases and these are largely left up for interpretation by the staff moderating. We sadly have to assume the worst in most situations given our experience and complaints at being too lax. What’s important is that the right decision is made in the end. We apologize for any hiccups along the way, no ones perfect, we try our best.

I assure you we have 0 tolerance for homophobia and I assure you none on our team express these values. Some do have more conservative views, but they have been told to be tolerant while on PMC.
