sailing a ship across the map will take for damn ever. for multiple reasons. some groups of players like to block any and every water canal they can or just like to block off oceans. also, it’d take days to get a ship from one side of the map to the other, since theyre slow as hell, and the map isnt mostly water… tbh I don’t think it’s possible to make ships the “best” or “only” way to travel on the current map. it isn’t as simple as JUST changing configs, or JUST changing the map, or JUST increasing the speed of ships, theres cause and effect here. quite frankly, removing either of these mechanics would just make regular survival more annoying. removing these 2 things makes the server less vanilla…
