You are failing to see the point. As River stated above, the use of a vanilla boat is a rank up requirement. So unless you want Gods to reconfigure the whole rank system and how it has been for a long time its not going to happen.

I personally don’t think removing either of these is going to increase the use of ships. You either want to sail them or you don’t. If you really want to get that technical you can just remove walking, minecarts, elytra, horses, pigs etc. Oh and remove teleport. I mean there are many other ways of getting around outside of using a large ship. Yes we want them used, but that doesn’t mean it has to be the only way of crossing a body of water.
