Hello ladies and gentlemen, a few weeks ago you may recall arguments were made of who the true pirate king was, it was a common consensus that HardTimez had dishonorably stolen the title, and that he was much like a tyrant in the fact that he did not deserve the title, now I present to you all a chance to prove who is the real pirate king. There are spots in the tournament bracket for 8 Old Players (Patricians, more than a year and a half active) and 8 new comers (Plebeians, less than a year and a half) this is to ensure that a player is not boosted through the bracket because they fight inexperienced new comers, and to give a sense of the common people versus the elite.
The tournament will function as follows, up until the final duel, you will be free to kill your opponent at your leisure, if your opponent has been selected already but the rest of the tournament has not caught up to the same level of the bracket, killing your opponent will not count, you must wait for everyone else, you will know when everyone has caught up because a forum post will be made for each level. If you take excessively long to kill your opponent or become inactive for a long period of time, you will be assumed to have forfeited and your opponent will be moved to the next level. If you are banned, caught hacking, cheating, glitching, using a “banned” item, or generally being annoying to me or the participants, you will be disqualified. The following items will be banned to be used during the tournament:
- Invisibility potions (so your opponent has a chance to fight back)
- Chorus fruits
- strength potions (you could 1 hit someone and they will not have a chance to fight back)
- Dogs
- Event items
Also, the following methods of killing are unacceptable:
- Tp killing
- Death by mob
- Battle at any warp
- death while afk
- Bribing your opponent to let you kill them
Please note this list is not exhaustive and anything you do will be at the discretion of me and the server
Finally, visual evidence must be given (screenshots or video ie not word of mouth) so i am assured you completed the task, they must incluse chat evidence such as “x killed x with x” and I would ask that if video evidence is provided you not make it excessively long, you may present these to me through the sight.

August 22, 2016 at 7:54 pm #39764I am sorry to say, Chasedillon, that this is maybe a good tournament to see who is the pvp king, but not the pirate lord.
The pirate king is the freest man in the world and I am sure that @Dr.solid will support me on this, whenever he’ll come back.
Consider also that pirates are almost extinct right now, the golden age ended a while ago and is yet to be restarted. There aren’t 16 pirate captains available.

As a player that played when pirates were at their peak this makes me vomit in disgust. You can’t have a tournament like this for a “pirate King” and have it set up like this. A real pirate King wouldn’t abide by such ridiculous rules. They would use whatever they wanted and attacked whoever they wanted. At the current moment there are no real pirate captains because of all the empires. Eventually there will be a pirate King. But for now nobody can claim that title. If you really want a pirate King tournament you should have it as who can successfully get the most kills on other tournament players. No player limit either, just allow as many people as you want into it. No rules other than no kill farming. That would be in the true fashion of a pirate. Allowing the pirate King title to be used.

August 23, 2016 at 3:19 am #39779@Allidoisdig1234 @applejk the people have spoken, except, with no rules, alli, it would give a certain group of players too much of a chance to win, not everyone has the materials that others have, a few people on this server can produce god armor like it’s stone, and with potions the same, bottom line nodules would be absolute trash, because the scales would be unbalanced, it doesn’t prove you are better at your job, it just proves you have more materials, much like a man with millions has more chance of winning at a casino than a man with a few dollars, I guess this will be the PvP king then

Regarding Dig1234. “At the current moment there are no real pirate captains”? I said they are almost extinct, but not completely. The proper name of the “Apple” crew is Juice Pirates. We have been doing nothing but travelling and exploring on my galleon in my last month of activity.

If a certain player has a better chance than that’s the best person to be called pirate King. If some player wins the title because you make it fair, what’s stopping other people from beating up the weakling that won? The only fair way is by not having it fair at all. Only the best should win. Not the one who abuses the rules.

August 23, 2016 at 8:06 pm #39804@allidoisdig1234 but that’s what you’re asking for, a system where the rich and powerful win instead of those who deserve it, we have 1 shot at this, and i want it to be someone truly deserving, not some guy who looked up online how to make farms and use them to insta kill people and not have a chance to fight back, so no, you are wrong, here’s and example: say I have a competition where 2 leaders want to be elected as a leader, one has the better ideas, one has more money, the one with more money ultimately wins because they can get their word out, and they use their money to utterly destroy their opponent, would that be fair? No, these things should be based off merit, not resources, as of right now that’s not how the world works, but its how it should and could work, so yeah thanks for the idea, but I’m gonna decline all of them, retch all you like.
