Upon request of the High Government of the British Empire, and the leader of the Oriental Empire of China, a series of alliance agreements are hereby presented by the BE to the OEC in hopes of future alliance, trade, prosperity, and friendship.

British Empire/Oriental Empire of China Non-Aggression Pact
Preamble
Acknowledging their respective sovereignty, the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire hereby enter this Non-Aggression Pact in recognition of their common interests.
Article I: Non-Aggression
Both the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire agree to refrain of any kind of hostile activity towards each other. Any breach of this agreement will be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Article II: Intelligence
Neither signatory shall seek sensitive information pertaining the other crew party to this pact. If any such information comes into their possession, they shall not disclose it to any other crews without their express permission.
Article III: Cancellation
The pact may be cancelled by either signatory with a three day advance notice.

British Empire/Oriental Empire of China Mutual Defence Pact
Preamble
In recognition of our close friendship, the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire hereby enter this Mutual Defence Pact in the spirit of continued prosperity and mutual success.
Article I: Non-Aggression
Both the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire agree to refrain of any kind of hostile activity towards each other. Any breach of this agreement will be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Article II: Intelligence
Any information received by one signatory which is of political or military significance to the other signatory will be shared forthwith.
Article III: Mutual Defence
An attack on one crew will be seen as an attack on both crews. Should one signatory be subject to aggression, the other crew is obliged to support their beleaguered ally militarily.
Article IV: Cancellation
The pact may be cancelled by either signatory with a three day advance notice.

In recognition of our close friendship, the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire hereby enter this Optional Defence Pact in the spirit of continued prosperity and mutual success.

Both the Oriental Empire of China and the British Empire agree to refrain of any kind of hostile activity towards each other. Any breach of this agreement will be dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
Article II: Intelligence
Any information received by one signatory which is of political or military significance to the other signatory will be shared forthwith.
Article III: Optional Defence
Should either signatory be subject to aggression, they may request assistance. The other crew is encouraged to support their beleaguered ally in whatever manner they see fit.
Article IV: Cancellation
The pact may be cancelled by either signatory with a three day advance notice.

Technicalities have proven effective in times of chaos time and time again throughout history. It’s the vague statements that like “let’s be allies” that provide loopholes you know. There’s even profession about studying all of the laws and specific ways one could find a way around them, or to what reaches the words that are stated by a law is brought. It’s called being a lawyer, and to some extent, a politician. So having a nice, kind-of long treaty like this covers all of the basics. This is actually a short version you know, the kind I prefer is a couple thousand words long, while Paul’s template (the one used here) was proven more effective as it can be used in a more generalized manor. So trust me, it can get much much longer than this 😉
